Haha, the most-played tanks list is... Amusingly predictable. ;)

It's interesting to see the most-vetoed maps list though. Personally, I don't bar any maps (I kinda think it's a pretty silly feature, to be honest), but if I was to pick out some current maps that really seem to need the most work right now, I'd almost certainly go with the current versions of Fjords and Erlenberg, which from an overall gameplay perspective I really don't think work well at the moment for a lot of reasons. Himmelsdorf is such an iconic, classic map in this game that it almost seems heretical that people would block it. :P

Yep, that thing is one of the few tanks in the game that really is completely broken. Not in a "kinda OP" way like the Type 64, but in a "this literally makes the game not fun" way. The view-range is honestly the biggest problem with it, I think. The fact that it can outspot a lot of other tanks gives it an advantage in an endgame scenario that doesn't seem appropriate for an SPG. But hey. :)

Didn't personally exclude Himmel but it is understandable. You can't really do much with light tanks, camper TDs and clickers...

If Wargaming wants to keep these maps small then they should exclude them from high tier imo.

P.S. hard for me to understand why people exclude ensk and himmelsorf, they are one of my favorite maps. Anyone could explain?

I can explain. When I have premium account, like now from loot boxes, I exclude Ensk and Himmelsdorf when I play light tanks, even though I love Himmelsdorf, it's just not what I want to see with lights. Also, I exclude Malinovka and Prokhorovka when I play heavies, since I don't won't to see them with heavy tank, even though I LOVE them both with all my heart when playing with other classes.
So the answer is just that people exclude maps based on tanks played, so everyone in LT's, MT's, TD's and arta exclude mostly city maps, thus Ensk, Himmelsdorf and Paris are in top 3, while heavy tank players and some other players as well exclude some open maps, and since there are more open maps then they scatter exclusions across more maps and not a single map gets in top 3...
So I would not say that people hate Ensk and Himmelsdorf, but exclude them in order not to play in city against armored beasts in lightly armored tanks...

Actually, I'd disagree about Himmelsdorf being bad for light tanks. Obviously it's not good for passive scouting, but the tracks and the hill can make for some great gameplay for flanking, spotting, and generally annoying the enemy. Which is meant to be a part of what light tanks do, of course, other than pure scouting. Being fast enough to support both sides of that map can really help sometimes, and fast lights can do that well.

Yeah, it's obviously not good for SPGs... But in fairness, it's still better than some maps have been in the past (like the old version of Kharkov, for instance, which was literally unplayable for SPGs). So long as your team give you the support you need, there are spots you can shoot to/from in a few places around the map.

Campy TDs actually don't have a lot of good map positions in the game in general at the moment, so at least with Himmelsdorf you know you have nowhere to hide. :P

Yes, what a year. The Helloween event got cancelled, update 1.7 felt very rushed, 430 got nerfed (not) while the E100 got buffed (not), Frontline turned out such a horrible grindfest that Wargaming had to introduce prestige boosters, the British light tank line is pointless, lootboxes were sexed up with yet another borderline overpowered Russian heavy, and - crowning achievement - the ill-conceived wheeled tanks, which have put parts of the meta completely on the head and turned out to be to almost as annoying as arties (if not even more so), were brought into the game.

On the positive side, Leo 1 got finally buffed (although that was more of a bugfix, because it is only now the fast, precise sniper as which it has always been advertised), team damage has been deactivated to reduce toxicity (and to reduce support costs), blueprints have been introduced (I have nearly 1000 universal fragments right now, and so far I have not once been able to use this system to speed up research), and the anonymizer has been brought into the game (though not activated as a default, so that inexperienced players who do not know about or care for this feature still get regularly slagged off at the beginning of matches).

Sorry, Wargaming, but I have been playing your game for more than 7 years now and this has been pretty much the worst. Sure, it wasn't all bad - the Black Market was great, for instance - but speaking strictly for myself, I am not exactly in a mood to celebrate what is going in what is still my favourite online game.

Thanks for the work in 2019 WG :honoring:

Highlights for me:

  • MM changes, 3/5/7 was a terrible, a way too long, nightmare. MM is good now.
  • Steel hunter, finally a mode I could complete.
  • Black market, 3x tier 8 premium for credits

Could be better:

  • Chaffee races.
  • More maps.
  • Arty is still annoying and too powerful at mid tier lvl.

What I didn't like:

  • The EBR marathon. I had my mind set to buy the EBR 75, but do to a grind/paywall you made me really upset. Result is another year F2P.
  • Balance and powercreep is insufficiently handled.
  • Goldspam, but I personally dont mind this very much.
  • Proposed HE changes, I'm scared for 2020

first at all thank you for the Santa commander wargaming. However could you please let us pick qualification for crew members like this? now I have 4 unused commaders and they will stay unused long time... think about that why would we use commander without matching crew...

Is the reward glitched? I didn't get anything, I had 13 small boxes and no large ones yesterday, and after claiming "the reward" , I'm still sitting at 13 small,no large ones.

Or is the Santa commander that reward? I'm rather confused.

We didn't have to buff of E-100 as promised, without talking about the biggest lie of 2019 "Halloween mode".

It's been a good year and you've clearly tried to improve the game although not everything was a success in your roadmap. Overall, I think you've done a great job (from Game Developer to Game Developer) and you should keep pressing in this direction :)

You've eliminated XVM for those who don't want to be affected by it, which is more important than you probably think. I look forward to the removal of gold shells (and yes they will be referred to as such until they are removed).

As a player of both WoT and WoWS, the worse thing that Wargaming did in 2019, was introduce WoT Premium account and WoWS Premium account.

Owning either of the 2 premium accounts gives you ZERO benefit in the other game.

I here you cry "but you can buy Wargaming Premium Account".

Well, if I buy that, I will be missing out on the extra benefits of WoT premium account.

Plus there is NEVER a discount put on buying Wargaming Premium Account.

Because of this, I have had to decide which game I will play the most.

The answer is WoT of course.

I now DO NOT run a premium account in WoWS any more, and just play that game very occasionally.

Your loss Wargaming, not mine.

You could fix this buy letting me have the +15% XP and credits in Warships if I buy WoT Premium Account, and same goes if I buy WoWS Premium Account.

But NO, you have reneged on your promise of having a decent unified premium account.
