Merry Christmas folks:trollface:

Ok now we have all gotten over the shocker of the VK, if you were buying fore gold which of the above two would be the better choice?

Depends on which crew you wanna train.

But other than that, 112.

Or whichever one you think looks better.

They're very similar.

The IS6 is more vulnerable when the going gets tuff

Both are Pref MM tonks so you can avoid Tier 10 nonsense and focus on playing well

VStabs and BIA help a lot

I do a 50/50 loadout with no gold

If you can't pen it then splat it

112 is so much better than IS-6...except a little bit less accurate gun.

I never played IS-6, but I love my 112. It's amazing how many shells that thing can bounce. 186mm standard shell penetration is somewhat lacking, but HEAT is awesome when AP can't pen, and a reason more to pick over IS-6. Armor works well, but you really want to get that aim time + reload down as much as possible, so the crew with BIA is a must. I use GLD, VStabs and a rammer - that kind of setup works best for me. Preferential matchmaking is a great thing and you won't meet tier X, so, if you feel O.K about shooting HEAT here and there, you will be able to pen anything around on the battlefield - and profit. It is a good tank.

I think 112 is better.Better armor profile,better premium ammo Vs Heavy tanks(debatable someone might prefer 225 apcr from 250 Heat),better VR 380(can even reach 445m),faster 45 Vs 35 km/h.

Would i buy an is6 in 2019? No

Would i get a 112 from the referral program? Probably yes for crew training. It might work in frontlines during the first stage.

112 can actually pen VKp and Defender if aimed at the "weakspots" with the 250 Heat. Good luck doing that with an is-6.

I don't have an IS-6 but I do have and like the 112.

The gun is a bit lacking in pen, but it's reasonably mobile and the armour can work very well - on one memorable occasion I bounced 13K incoming damage

Unlike the IS line it does not have a pike nose, and I find that makes the 112 armour easier to angle effectively

I load it with a mix of AP, HEAT and HE

But the 112 crew will be a problem unless you have spent some time on the Chinese line, whereas most people will have some trained Soviet Heavy crew

112 is very solid, great armour and 250 HEAT for anything that looks at you funny. Far better than IS-6.

In your case however I'd suggest a third choice, save your money, because you'll likely only end up rage-selling it when it doesn't perform how you expect.

I've had both, it was mainly a rhetorical question due to a mention in another thread, anyways have a nice day, feet up and food and drink a plenty for me:D

Neither... Save the gold for something useful.

The 112 is quite good in FL but in randoms both the 112 and IS6 are going to have severe pen problems.

112 is better due to mobility and frontal armor.

Got both played them a lot. The is6 is now useless, the 112 is surprisingly useable. The mix of mobility, armour and decent prem ammo makes it a very solid tank.

None of them.

They are both pay2lose.

The IS 6, 112, WZ-111, and T-34-3 have 186 mm pen.

This is the pen you would find on light tanks and won't even pen the lower plate of an is 3 reliably.

I wouldn't recommend any of these tanks unless your money is about to burn hole in your pocket.

If that is the case, the less of two evils will be the 112. It has a superior armour profile/hull shape over the is 6.

I agree that the AP on the 112 is pretty wet, but the 250 pen HEAT isn't too bad, although still not great, and if all else fails there is the HE.

Where the 112 scores is in bouncing enemy shots and bullying anything without too much armour.
