Wot balance are failed.

Wot balance are failed.  Current meta highly favoured TD and arty, made HT obsolete. Last time usually there are in both teams at least 7 TD + arty + fast spotters, and only 3 HT. In random battle these random 3 HT cant play their role at all advance, occupied and hold territory, hold map control. Usually they are spotted from start by very fast spotters and destroyed at first attempt to advance. Only option is joining with TD at red line. Wot had became boring camp fest and only joy is for TD to destroy these noobs, who still driving HT. I hope WOT will nerf TD and arty to stage, where there are World of TANKS again.

So the balance is broken because a lot of *people* decide to play TD and Arty? They are only played because they are relatively easy to play, not because they need to be nerfed.

 

Btw, I would love some of those games full of TDs, maybe then I could get my MT-15 done finally :)

I guess we are playing two different games.

With the maps in the rotation I don't think heavy tanks need any buffs.

If it's unbalanced then that means it is unbalanced for both teams. This gives you an equal chance of winning 50% of your games.

If you play better, you'll win more regardless of which tanks you play. Need to stop blaming the teams/balance

It was definitely better a few years ago. From about 2015/2016 on wards WG made so many poor decisions and updates (9.18, 1.0, Chieftain, 279e, EBR etc. ) that have made this game what it is today.

Aghhh I personally and few others I know would disagree the really bad decisions WG made was back in 2014 when Serb basically got pushed out of balancing and a survey was done in the RU server on what players wanted and their compliants being for example: invisible TD shooting IS7 Steve from too many bushes in cross fires, the gun depression on especially Russian tanks wasn’t good enough because the maps were too bumpy! Etc..

  WG did listen to its players (whom complained the loudest on the RU server)  the results was less. Bumpy maps, the removal of bushes ie and corridors etc..

Maybe when they add double barreled arty/TDs.

But as for now, not really.

It's funny, because it's actually the complete opposite of what you said.

Fast hulldown HTs are the meta, turretless TDs are nearly obsolete (still kinda fun to play if you like big guns and more stationary gameplay) and arty is nothing more than annoyance with barely any impact on the battle unless there are 3 of them and they focus on one target.

And just wait for 2020 with HE rework and arty nerfs. You will get your World of TANKS or rather "World of spamming HE for 50 damage at hulldown heavies with +25% more HP".

Remove artillery, nerf HE, redesign most maps, nerf wheeled vehicles, implement a form of soft skillbased mm maybe, 0-3k rating 3-6k rating 6-10k rating matchmaking.

 

I forgot +-1 mm.

Listening to customers about design features is almost always a bad idea, especially when they are the most vocal ones.  Most people, to be frank, are not awfully bright.

That got us stuck with the ridiculously inept new 3-5-7 MM we had to endure for years.  There are still those who call for skill based MM, which would kill the game.

In WoT, unicum or Tier X player whinges mean nothing to me, and I am part of the 99.99% of the player base that is not a unicum and doesn't play at Tier X.  Arty?  Poof, it almost never hits me, and I couldn't care less.

Heavy tanks will be more popular, when:

 

Implementing the sneak peek ammo rebalnce where premium ammo will do 25 to 30% less damage and

heavy tanks will become a lot more effective. (HE ammo will also do less dmg)

 

Next make all wheeled vehicles slower or let hitting their wheels become a lot more crippling and

remove the absorbing of damage when you hit the wheels.

 Why do you think it would kill the game? Why would something that is for the best of the players make people quit the game, if you always play with and against people at your skill level the quality of the games is at your standard which means you will enjoy the games much more. You might be right though the players are so used to being abused by WG so actually enjoying themself might make them quit the game.
