I come back in the game after a 1+ year break and it has got even worse, lol. People barely even play heavies at tier 10 because they are too slow and before they even get to position, they either get spotted by a flying clown car and get bombarded by artillery, or the battle is already over because battles nowadays don't last longer than 5 minutes. 430U is also a better 113 with just lower health. Maps which consist simply of 3-4 corridors still are present.

Strongholds are filled with reward/premium tanks because they are clearly better than the regular ones (definitely not  a P2W game!), meaning that you have to throw some real cash to stay competitive.  I am really curious how one is supposed to counter a Progetto 46 if it comes to 1v1? Progetto just empties its clip on you and it can shoot as a normal tank after that?

I see that wargaming wants to make the newly added vehicles more appealing so that players can grind/get them, but adding fast heavily armored vehicles with no weaknesses (Chieftain, 430U, 277) just leads to games ending quicker and makes some other tanks completely obsolete.  Like who would even pick a T110E5 over a Chieftain? Why would anyone play 121 over 430U? Would you rather play an E 100 or a 60TP? Who's better, virgin Tiger 2 or chad E 75 TS?

But you know, why fix existing issues when you can just  add some overpowered tanks in the game and make players gamble in loot boxes. Enjoy your double gun tanks and autoloaders, because they will be out of the meta by this time next year, when even more overpowered tanks will be introduced to gamble for :teethhappy:.

Those are your observations, mine after returning after 11 months away are different.

I'm enjoying the game more, getting rid of the stupid fixed 3/5/7 template system, new premium tanks are reasonably balanced unlike the IS3A / Defender / Progetto that came into the game previously.

I don't like the Wheeled Vehicles, my personal opinion is that all other Light Tanks need to be re-balanced to match them, certainly the British, Chinese, and American ones.

Getting rid of that idiotic 357 MM idea was the best thing WG ever did

It was obvious on day one that it was a terrible idea, and many of us said so

Amazing that they took so long to do it

And it was only brought in by listening to the MM moans of not awfully bright forum posters

357 still exists though, as well as those dumb variants like 4-5-6.

Really?  Maybe it got so mixed into the pot that I don't notice it.

You'll learn to love them, either on your own or by force. ;)

Also that is indeed true that other LTs need some rebalancing to do. Has there been any workable suggestions though? Would it be changes made directly to LTs or nerfing qualities of other tanks to indirectly change LT effectiveness, like viewrange for example. It's the high tier LTs that don't seem to work, not tier 7 for example.

I consider myself as one of the extremely rare people who actually liked 3/5/7, especially at tier 8. My personal interest in the game peaked at those times, now the game gets bit dull with the same tier MM at tier 8, but at least some of my tanks can do better now.

I always liked pistachio ice cream.

But I wouldn't try and run a business on selling that only

But you would be happy if the ice cream man would only sell one kind of ice cream and it was pistachio. Just like I was very happy when the MM was mainly 3/5/7.

Indeed.  But the ice cream man would go bust and that would be the end of it.

If you wish to discuss ice-cream, and who doesn't, then please take it to the Off-Topic section.

To the OP, there was already a "my thoughts on coming back" thread on the first page, started just an hour or so before yours. You should have added your thoughts there.

Closing this thread as it is losing its way.
