Like the title says. I am going to train my third skill on my IS-7 crew and I am conflicted over whether I should pick smooth ride or offroad driving. Seeing the awful terrain resistances of the IS-7 (and russian heavies in general) is it more beneficial to pick offroad driving first?

Thanks.

Edit: I meant smooth ride, not snap shot.

Assuming you're using vstabs and vents, SR only offers a 0.01 decrease in dispersion. Given that most of the time your IS-7 will be in the front line, you shouldn't have so many problems hitting anything on the move that that small an improvement will solve. In short, I'd go for OD or CB before SR, though I don't have an IS-7, don't play heavies in general and am not that great a player anyway.

Off Road I'd say, at T10 you really should be aiming in heavy tanks, not trying to snapshot.

I'm confused.  Off road driving is a driver skill and snapshot is a gunner skill.  I'm pretty certain the IS-7 has a separate driver and gunner.

Assuming you mean smooth ride and off road driving then I would go for the off road driving.

I don't own IS-7 but I prefer Smooth Ride over Offroad Driving on almost all my drivers.

I only prioritize off-road driving over smooth riding in my lights...

Why? Lights are generally the most mobile class in the game with the best terrain resistances. Do you really notice any benefit from ORD? I prefer to have SR and SS on a light crew because I'm much more likely to be firing on the move but I'm willing to make changes if it makes a real difference.

I would say off-road first.

In my opinion smooth ride is much more important than off-road driving in all the tanks.

If you plan on alot of On the Move Shooting, Smooth Ride, if Not, Off Road......       Like was mentioned earlier if you're On the Front, you're not gonna be worrying too much about your Disperssion at Close Quarters....       And you'll be More than Close enough to generally Hit what you Aim at....

The only Question becomes Penning what you Aimed at then, and do you have the Right Ammo loaded....     Plus, Off Road helps get that Crate Moving, helps it Turn, and Lightens some of the Terrain Resistances....      A Nimble IS7 is a Deadly IS7.....
