I’m nearly at tier X and I can either unlock the Centurion AX or American T110E5 or the German E75.

Which should I get first?

I would say that the T110E5 and E100 (tier X from E75) are rather outdated and not very competitive. Cent AX is still a decent MT so personally I would go for that. Of course if you prefer the HT playstyle over MTs, then at least E75 is good while M103 is pretty awful.

The problem with US HTs is that they have huge weak points on top of the turret so you will get owned by most same tier HTs.

Merlin, as you seem to be new to the game, I'd suggest E75 and then E100. They both have armour and are relatively straightforward to play (I particularly recommend firing HE with the big gun on E100).

T110E5 and CentAX have a much more difficult play style.

I am fairly new, but have been playing mainly British mediums (ridges) also American heavies and German heavies. I must say I find the German armour is generally very good when angled correctly (which I’m still mastering) also I love the Brit guns which can be very good! The American stuff is more difficult admittedly because of the cupola! I really think WG should buff those up, to make it a bit fairer for the Yanks.

Save your credits and keep both the E75 and the Centy 7/1. Sometimes T9 is a better place to be.

Well, I got the Centurion AX as my very first tier X medium tank! I love it! My first battles at tier X have been a blast!

I’ve kept my other Centurion variants, as I love British mediums and seem to do well in them.

I’m going to continue my two tier IX tanks (Centurion 7/1 and M103) to continue my learning curve in British mediums and American Heavies.

Next I will grind towards the German E75, so hopefully the best of all worlds for me!

THANKYOU to all of you for advice, all of which helped this noob make informed choices...

See you all in battle!

Great if Cent AX works for you, Merlin, but for others reading this thread, I strongly suggest checking other written and youtube reviews. For my money Cent AX is well past its sell by date and there are other tier X meds which are far superior, incl STB-1, Prog 65, UDES 15/16. But noting that these tanks are not easy to play for inexperienced players.

Also a general point that new players may find rushing up the tiers counter-productive as tiers 8 to 10 can be very difficult to play and you die very easily. It may be better to stick to mid tiers for a while to learn the game.
