Honestly no. The system isn't broken, why risk breaking it?

As for the crew changes, what WG has to realize is that people have invested a LOT of money in their crews, and got attached to them. I have two 7 skill crews and i play a variety of premium tanks just to play those crews. So IF WG isn't able to compensate (enough) in the new crew system i'm not sure if i can live with that. Unless in the new system i can use that crew in other (tech-tree) tanks, perhaps with a small performance hit. That way i could start playing other tech-tree tanks again without having to use fresh crews.



They probably will because there are also special crews (such as from Berlin trio), female crew members and other crews we got from holidays such as Santa. 

IMO they will take the crew exp and convert it to the new stuff we will have to use on.

The system might work but it's not a good system. There's a subset of useful skills that everyone picks for certain types of tank (e.g. repairs on heavies, camo on lights, Sixth Sense, Smooth Ride, Snap Shot, Situational Awareness) and a bunch of 'meh' other skills that nobody bothers with until the relevant common skills have been learned. And then it takes hundreds of battles to learn each additional skill due to the exponential xp requirements.

 

It'll be interesting to see where this proposal goes.

Crew rework purpose is to add more skills because wg wants to push people into owning more premium tanks to train their skill crews. So they gonna make it necessary to own a good crew to stay competitive.

 

Of course some may say it's already necessary to own a 6 skill crew, but imo as long as you have repairs, BIA and accuracy skills you are good to go. It's probably gonna change after crew rework because they gonna add more useful skills, that's my prediction.

In a way i do think they need a looking at and possibly some changes but at same time knowing that WG fail to show any kind of logic or proper thinking and decision making, leaves me rather concerned if they were to change things so if its not broken why fix/change it?

We don't need a crew rework. We need artillery removed, RNG reduced to +/-5% and matchmaker set to +/-1 tier. But hey, "fixing" problems that don't exist instead of addressing the real ones has become a WG trademark, so it's just working as intended, i guess...

Maybe educated, in the light of 8 years of playing the game, maybe wild, it doesn't matter. Irrelevant. 

ALL related to Crew 2.0, becouse this game has more pressing problems than crew rework.

Which, among other things, won't account for gold used retraining, reassigning roles and resetting skills, as those won't show in the total XP pool.

So, basically, we will need like one commander per nation and class, or 5 of them per nation? Why the hell did I spend years and lots of money to train many 4-5 skill crews? Say, I got one 6 skill Russian MT commander and 7 5 skill ones, the last ones become obsolete?

 

Other problem is, it will be possible to grind a commander for a nation/ class with enough skills in just a few months. Why did I spend 3 years to train 6 good crews for my German HTs? There are people who play this game for like 8 years, and soon they will have the same crews as the 3 months newbies.

 

Rubbish.

Playing the game for 8 years despite the litany of complaints you raise indicates that whatever its faults, the game is getting more things right than wrong even for you.
