Yes i know, there is no reason to play lights above tier7, but maby i have some masochistic features in me because i like to try those. I like to play lights and i mainly play tier 6-7 and there those tanks works well. Now i would like to try those lights in tier 9 - 10.

I have played a lot with t49 ( when it was tier 8 ) tryed it also in last year, but with those Wheelies its has no change against them, so i dont like that american derb line. Played also Ru when it was tier 8 and i liked it. Tier 8 WZ was also ok. I have all tier 9 lights researched ( except birtish ). Also i have that german tier 10.

I dont like to play lights like 90% of players play and yolo against enemy team and die in 60 secs. So thats is the reason why i dot like to play with wheelies ( i have played them in tier 6-7). I prefer sneakyer playstyle, try to stay alive and use my strengths later.

I would like to have some opinions about tier 10 light tanks and is there any reason to choose any other than WV? Russian is always good, yes?

And is there any reason to go tier 10 or is tier 9 better for lights?

I've stopped at T9 for my LTs.

Although I only have the T-54 Lwt, T49 and AMX 13 90. All are nice but the Rashan tank is derpy as hell. The T49 with the 90mm gun has very nice DPM and the AMX is just overall very good.

Also kept the T8 Chinese LT.

May get the LT-100 or whatever the Rashan pancake is called one day but in no rush. I believe the MM is nicer at T9.

I should really unlock the WV one day too...

I personally went for:

  • T-100 LT is fun to play.
  • AMX 13 105 is less fun.
  • No interest in other LT10.

You got lots of LTing expereince.

You are looking for an new challenge.

Have a look at the UK LT, they are quite good. Really small footprint aand sneaky (which you like).

I guess the top 3 tier 10 lights are:

LT-100, EBR 105 and AMX 13 105.

But as Negativvv said, stopping at tier 9 (or even lower) is a good idea.

None or EBR, none of them are massively strong, but EBR is the most effective but you pretty much require bond equipment.

After that T-100 lt or AMX.

WZ, Rhm and Sheridan are just flat out bad.

And honestly you will probably be more effective maxing out your view range/camo on something like a Bat Chat or Obj. 140, they'll be about 90% as effective at spotting for the team, whilst being WAY more useful everywhere else.

T100-lt if you want to play as a normal light tank. Ebr 105 if you want to complete Lt end missions etc

13 105 is lovely, if you ask me. Good burst, nimble, nice pen on standard ammo and good pen on prems, and who does not love french lights?

T8:

WZ-132

LT-433232312312

FL-10

Fun can be had with the LTTB.

T9:

T49 with 152mm (play it as a damage dealer to heavy armor, not a classical spotting light)

T-54lwt

AMX 13 90

T10:

T-100lt

AMX 13 105

EBR 105

Those are the most useful ones.

T49s that do this when they are the only light harm the team IMO.  It's basically like camping in base with a heavy.

Depends on a map. Won plenty of games like that.

Yes if it's a decent player it's probably fine because they will still do their job, trouble is most average players don't and end up playing it like some terrible TD.

Whatever you get, small and sheaky is the way to go for an easy(er) life

Even the scorpion at T7 can be a wee stoater

T-100LT is as good as it gets compared to WV.

At T10 the EBR just outclasses all other lights due to its overtuned mobility without really sacrificing firepower or viewrange. T100 and AXM 13 105 are the best non-wheeled T10 lights, but even they will struggle in the current meta.

At T9 and lower things are more interesting as the WVs there don't get the extreme gunstats (well, with the exception of the T8 premium of course) and can't get to 445m viewrange either.

Personally I actually liked the british lights due to their competitive guns and good camo values, even though they seriously lack DPM and aren't any good on paper. If you like the sneaky playstyle with bushes they might be worth a look.

Not really, I'm still at the front line spotting stuff but I'm also engaging the heavies that my tomato team mates will have trouble damaging.

Thanks.

Maby i try couple of 10 tier games with my german light and see how it performs. If it works even semiwell, then i buy t54 lvt and start grinding that russian 10 tier.

Yep i have enough med tanks with good crew and they might do the same job, but they dot fit me as well as lights do.

T49 is good, small gun is very competitive and you also get the 152mm for funsies or just blatting heavy armour.

I have played a lot with t49 ( when it was tier 8 ) tryed it also in last year, but with those Wheelies its has no change against them, so i dont like that american derb line.

Not the case, I've found the T49 derp to be very effective at dealing with WV. 900+ alpha of crew killing module busting high explosives does really bad things to tanks it can pen and WV are most definitely one of those. I also equip my T49 with the ramming skill so while enemy lights are crumpled in half after a devastating strike like that then, enemy tank position pending, I will carry on full speed with that big chunky American "light" tank lol, and smash what low hp is left him back to the garage with a ram for minimal dmg.

Generally all players that use an active spotting style of tank will follow somewhat predictable flight paths and even if they don't there's always about half of a second window that while they're retreating they inadvertently straight line, that's what you should be playing for and waiting for if you have a slow aiming, bad soft stat, bad shell velocity, big aiming bloom style gun. In that split second they straight line their retreat path, send one up their backside and with a T49 derp, they won't be sitting down again anytime soon.

The only T10 light I tried was the Sheridan in ranked battles. It seemed pretty toothless and unworkable in that discipline with little gain if any over the T49 a tier lower. Sure, it has a nice 390 alpha gun but so does many T9 meds and this is where the problem lies. Many T9 meds possess equal or superior firepower to T10 lights while also having extremely good view range, camo rating, mobility, agility and even more hp while being a tier lower... I like light tanks, play the T49 derp just for fun more than anything but for higher tiers I would instead play a Leopard and Standard B for that light tank sort of playsytle only with much better firepower and more hp to play around with. The T54 lt seems nice after the LT patch now that it's a T9 light and at least with that LT, along with it's T10 bigger brother, have those low profile hulls and bouncy little turrets so at least they offer something resistant to auto-aiming bobs whereas the papery ones... meh.... everything has massive view range at T10 including heavy tanks so... the purpose of the light tank is questionable at T10 including the point in playing them.

T100LT from tier 10s is pretty damn strong. Its Russian... of course its good.

AMX 13 90 from tier 9, because autoloader. 13 105 is just worse.

T49 for the derp fun, if you are into that.

T54 ltwt if you like to play a nerfed T-54 / T55A. It's still not bad.

Rest is not worth the effort.
