Well the question is.
Is there any difference between Skorpion and Skorpion G ?

there are 2 versions in shop now....
Same price
Seems a lot like the same to me....
Is it only the skin???
Can we alter the cosmatic on both? ore just on the grey one...
can somebody please help me with this simple question... because as it is to me,... there must be a differ, why else bring 2 in store.

Biggest question is,... is one off the two secretly better... or in other words... is the grey one ninja nerfed....
I see no point in buying 2 if there is no difference...
And when there is no difference , I'm scared to choose one out off the two....
because I don't trust WG that much anymore to know I will always wonder what or how better the one whould've been that I didn't buy...
If you know what I mean.

There always seems to be a hidden issue....

Maybe my question is really stupid,... but it makes no sense to me....having 2 of the same if they are really 100% copy

Yes. The painted version has the camo bonus baked in, the plain version requires you to add your own choice of camo to achieve the same values. The only point in buying both is if you're an obsessive three-marker who has to mark every tank in the game, even if one of those is a painted version of the other.

It's kinda like the Patriot and the T26E5, or the T34 vs the T34B. The skin it comes with you can't take off. But you can own both, or two of the same tank if you will then. As the stats are 100% the same.

In a way, the only difference is that the one with the camo has the camo bouns already added. The grey don't unless you add it. So tbh, it's down to if you want the painted Skorpion on it, or if you want to paint it yourself.

The tank was added before they added the 3d skins and preset skin option. So now skinned tanks like that come with a skin you can take off and paint instead, vs one that is locked to it.

Thanks a lot.

I find no reason to have both of the same tanks....
And as I understands it, the early G has it's skin locked.... so no way to make it into personal camo... and every map the same.
In winter it feels a bit off to take the dessert skorpion out.

I never bought the Skorpion because of the skorpion on it. So a basic skinned one is nice......
Though WG is entitled to change a new version of a tank.   Where they should not in old premiums....
the old Skorpion is really nice.

Well I might just not buy it at all than,.... too scared WG had some legal changes (nerfs) , secretly implanted in the new grey version.

If they were going to do it secretly anyway why would they only do it to one and not both? I mean if it's secret right, it's not like you will know one way or the other.

I just recently started playing again.
After a break of about ... years.
Never ever like the godlike eye skills of arty
stopped hardcore playing when type 59 entered the game ,
by that time I had lots already and grinding was not an issue anymore.
stopped daily basis playing when France UFO's revolver guns etc.
Well every now and than I did log-in.... to see how the gameplay was.
Now I don't mind the game-play anymore....
I just play and have fun, arty hits are just landmines to me... and it's soooo far off WW2 that I don't care anymore.

But I do know to find fun in playing my tanks, I just take the ones I like and never the OP or most Russians.
just not to keen on playing the lesser of the same

Yes, I hear you.
but secret changes can be revealed at some point and on a old premium this would be illegal in some way.
However a secretly changed double (new) version would not be a fault move incase of getting in the open.
Anyway...
It probably will always be in the back of my mind....
That much I've learned in the years of supporting WG with my money.

Based on the last time they got caught making secret changes to premium vehicles which was when..?

The tanks was known about for ages before release.  WG released the G version with the special camo and no way to buy it without.

People wanted the plain version so eventually WG put that on sale as well and gave the option to swap if you had the G version.

As for the difference, because of the way the camo is calculated there is a tiny difference in camo value between the two.  Not enough to make any difference in game.

If they did... I suspect the owners of both would cry out about it already if they did notice a difference. If you think or fear they do that, you should not buy any premium tank tbh.

I thought they fixed that, though.

The camo values on the G version were completely bugged at one time, there is still a tiny difference AFAIK but it amounts to 0.01% or something.

Shows up as the exact same values in the in-game compare too, no matter what equipment, skills, or consumables I put on it.

So if there is a difference, it'd be so minescule that it might effectively not exist at all.

Yeah, it's that small.

They're exactly the same, except that you can't remove the camo on the G variant.

You'll have to provide your own camo on the normal one.

The only reason to ever want both is if you'd want to:

-Have 2 daily doubles available on that vehicle

-Want to mark or get an ace tanker on both

-Absolutely must play in a Skorpion again right away when you die in one. (Provided you have 2 seperate crews you can use)

-If you're simply a collector

Skorpion camo consists of a flashing neon sign on top of it saying

SHOOT ME
