Seriously, am utterly fed up with the fact players rarely look at the mini-map and move during the game to help the team.

Loss after loss after loss because people are "hurr de durr" I am unaware of my surroundings.

How can we as a forum of experienced players help the wider player base become aware of this important part of the screen?

Influence streamers to bang on and on and on about it?

Nag WG?

Get the main mod makers to display in font size 398 the words "LOOK HERE IN GAME & MOVE" with a massive arrow pointing to the bottom right corner?

Produce a free electric shock keyboard for the game that we can remotely trigger every time a muppet clearly isn't watching the map?

Compile a hit list and undertake mass murder across Europe of all the dolts?

What?

We need to do something people, something......ignorance of the mini-map has to be one of the main barriers to people learning this game.

We can't, and even if we could, you then have to actually get them to understand what they're looking at.

At the start of the battle type "Who knows what the mini-map is?".

Then come back here and post all the replies you got.

We could all chip in to buy electronic collars for the whole playerbase and just start some good old basic conditioning.

Hey, I heard that Pavlov guy had some good results with that.

Put a minimap decal in the game, one we can put on our tanks.

You can try typing "press M for victory" at the start of the battle.

I prefer "press 2 for victory" though.:justwait:

Come on Pansy, you're clever.  Can't you do a special skin that when looked at from certain angles with the patterns aligning spells out "LOOK MINI MAP YOU DOLT" ?

We could then petition WG to include this sexy new historical skin that they somehow happened to overlook in the game?

Thinking here of that scene in mission impossible something something where Tom Cruise is in the white shipping container and he looks and sees where the guy who made the battery has gone to.

,,,,subliminal messaging is the key I think

Honestly if we're going with crazy fictional ideas, imagine a skin that was the minimap on a tank. And it actively updated too.

I like this one. Can we dress like Schwarzenegger in Terminator while doing that?

I can imagine it:

*Riiiing*

D: Steve The IS-7 driver?

S: Yes. Want some cryons?

D: *Shoot*

 Press "V" for victory :medal:

on topic:

I also happen to catch myself not having looked at the minimap for longer periods.

tunnel vision, concentrating on a target or possible shot

only to get interrupted by being shot in the back.

hastily looking at the minimap, realizing my team collapsed. :)

At random moments, briefly display hot naked ladies on the minimap. Within a week, you can create a new topic asking for help so your teammates stop looking at the minimap all the time.

1: you can't

2: It's up to wg to get a better boot camp that requires some actual difficulty to complete and far more comprehensive in it's instructional level.

I don't want my enemies looking at the minimap. I don't want this game to become more difficult :hiding:

lol...

forum readers must make up something close to 0.1% of players...

then there are probably a huge number of illiterates, an equal number of people who can barely speak their country's own language, the people who can't keep three things in mind at the same time, etc.

and you want them to look at the minimap

Never a more depressing but true post.

Should I tell my kids now to give up on life.... I think the time has come.

Back when I started WoT it took me about 1k matches to start using the mimimap, I mean paying attention to it.

It took about another 2k macthes to incorporate the mimimap into my gameplay, like shoot, mimimap, shoot, minimap, move, minimap, shoot, ...

The main driver to do so was this forum.

A very simple solution would be a larger defaul setting for the mimimap. At current is at 1/5. I would recommend to set at 3/5.

In case it is to big, players will look for the setting themself.

...

I sometimes do this in chat: "the mimimap is your friend at all times"

The responses are always very funny.

Does anybody know how the WoT boot camp incorporates the usefulness of the mimimap?
