Every recruit has their ''expiry date'' under them. If there is no date, they do not ''expire''

This.

Currently the snow maidens have no expiry date as long as they are in the recruits section of your barracks.

But I would keep an eye on what happens when crew 2.0 arrives (whenever that may be) just in case.

What is Crew 2.0?

Do i have to worry? Wait, it's a WG game, so the question must be: how much do i have to worry?

What happens in Crew 2.0? Any article i missed? Is there a link?

Nobody knows yet. As WG is still working on it, and have yet to reveal anything other then it's coming. We only know that WG want to get it done within the year.

We also suspect WG will be WG once again, which isn't exactly reassuring.

I'm mostly curious to know how exactly are they planning to return all the gold spent on:

- retraining crew members

- resetting skills

- changing major qualifications

- converting tank XP in free XP used to quick train skills

Thx!

Well, adding new skills and perks is good, the rest sounds bloody awful.

I grinded my a$$ off to get all the female tankers and now, it seems at least, they gonna remove them?

This better be related only to the random crew members, and i hope we get to keep the nones we grinded for, or received from loot crates, events, missions, twitch drops and Xmas events.

It depends on how their final idea is. If it's kinda like WOT console with only one crew, shorter training times "first skill there takes like 10 battles in a premium", I suspect they will just move all the crew XP in the tank to the commander etc and that's it. As I doubt anything used on retraining will be returned.

The only thing I wonder about is with regard to female or reward crews that are not commanders. As some have full female tank crews still from the early campaign days.

I still do this because I want the BiA bonus to work from the first battle and my CDO* gets triggered when I mix crews up.

Yeah, that was another "fun" thing WG pulled off that makes me believe this 2.0 will be another spectacular fail.

When SoS was renamed to BiA and crews could get mixed together, that came with no compensation whatsoever. We should have had ALL female crew members going back to barracks as recruits, each taking with them ALL the XP they currently had, in order to get recruited again. Obviously, most of them would have ended up as commanders and as crew members that take multiple roles (Swedish lines and similar)

Yes, some can (rightfully) argue that I have what I claimed, but the truth is that the only reason I currently have some female Radio Operators is that it was the only way they'd work in their crew back then. Under SoS/BiA change, I wouldn't have recruited them that way.

Reassigning them now presents two problems:

- I can't pick a different nation, so if I have a full female crew on a Type 5, it's not the same as having in in a E100, for example

- why would I spend yet more gold if I believe they will never compensate me for the one I've already wasted on crews? (we're easily talking about well over 20k gold here)

I have bad feelings about this rework aswell
Better go and recruit what's left of the females and toss them here and there in tanks that have a male commander
Rest will prolly go to SWE TD or HT
Sound to me a bit messy cuz having only one member will means that if i get one from my O-ni 3 skill i'll have a less trained commander than the "all female" 4 skills i have on my UDES...

Crew will:

  1. gradually develop  ptsd. You will have to pay silver to send them to therapy. They will be out of the action for certain duration (unless you pay in gold)
  2. they will require daily salaries
  3. ... something else that WG will think of in order to sucker you in to pay gold to bypass.  :teethhappy:

Can we have a nice little lounge area in which to put the snow maidens, instead of a tank?

You can just use 2kk crew book and get BiA right away instead wasting girls as loaders or radio operators...

Yebbut then they won't earn skills at the same rate as the ladies have BiA in the zeroth slot.

I know it doesn't make a lot of sense but I've never been that bothered by min/max gameplay. I'm sure I could get much better results if I put in more effort and optimised my builds and stuff but that's ... like ... work, y'know? :hiding:

Sadly, I have a few doing precisely that because I followed the rules set by WG where Sisterhood of Steel not mixing with Brothers in Arms.

Now they call it the same and get it done with.

Primo Victoria's crew still has their own thing (Band of Brothers) and that simply works along with Bia (nowadays, as it didn't use to), so I really don't know why changing SoS to BiA was even needed in the first place.

So what? How many useful skills does a Radio operator really have? One. Have that, BiA, and repairs/camo and you can get all those 3 skills with 6 books. Same for loaders.

Now, compare that to a driver's or a commander's set of useful skills.

I had a full german, japanese and french full girl crews. I retrained almost all of them to commanders during discount.

I couldn't stand my girls learning firefighting as loaders while my other tanks have 2-3 skill commanders...
