@ mods: I do know this has nothing to do with gameplay, but it is the most read section, so please leave this thread here for 24hrs. After that the message is no longer valid anyway.

As per title:

Just a friendly reminder to open any boxes you have left, break down all the decorations from your holiday garage and finish those collections (as much as possible) you havent completed yet after your last battle today, since the holiday garage will disappear tomorrow (Tuesday) morning at 0600hrs UTC. (But we have all experienced updates starting earlier than announced).

Tried that yesterday but could not find how to remove decorations that were applied to elements in the garage....

Won't I lose the bonuses for the upcoming 2 weeks if I break down the decorations? https://worldoftanks.eu/en/news/general-news/holiday-ops-2020-extension/

Left-click on the installed decoration.

Hold up, correct my guys but if I brake decorations that are in my tree and in other places, wouldn't that decreass my festiv atmosphere level meaning that it would go back to level 1 meaning that I would have left only with 4% credit boost that I got from albums (meaning that I brake large decos too) because my festiv atmosphere level multiplier would be 1instead of 10?

Hold on a second, i am tired as frak.

Do i understand that correctly?

I am supposed to remove all the decorations from my Tree, Kitchen and so forth, break them down to complete Collections?

1. Wouldn't that decrease my festivity Bonus to 0?

2. Wouldn't it also reduce my credits Booster to 0?

While i'm really keen to get more Collections done ( one of my Viewers on my Twitch stream gifted me 20bucks, so i could complete my second 2019 Collection, thx again mate!), i don't wanna lose the credits Booster.

3. What happens to unused shards after the Event ends? Cause i'll be grinding the the crates Mission today again, and i doubt ui'll get enough to complete yet another Collection without more loot boxes from the shop.

Exactly, this is why I haven't done it yet. I go back to only 4% boost and I will lose the 50% boost until the end of January. Right?

that 28th Jan extension only applies to the Holiday Ops slots, not the generic credit boost.

You can open previous years albums and craft each deco separetelly, so you basically can use all shards that you have

Holiday Ops vehicles will still work until Jan 28 and you can continue getting bonuses with those you have selected:

https://worldoftanks.eu/en/news/general-news/holiday-ops-2020-extension/

"Sooner or later, the holidays will run out, but not in World of Tanks! Although Holiday Ops 2020 is coming to an end, fear not, for the festive mood has been extended—my faithful Snow Maidens and I have decided to prolong the effect of the Holiday Ops Vehicles! The festive fun will last from January 14, 07:00 CET through January 28, 02:00 CET (UTC+1). Let’s take a closer look.

A Special Bonus to Free XP, Combat XP, or Crew XP

If you’ve reached Festive Atmosphere level V or higher, you can still take advantage of your Holiday Ops Vehicles. Like before, these machines will receive a special bonus to the Free XP, Combat XP, or Crew XP you earn in Random Battles. Remember: the type of bonus depends on the type of vehicle!

Moreover, the maximum credit bonus you achieve during the event will apply to the tanks that are placed in your Holiday Ops Vehicles slots. Play at your leisure and farm tons of credits along the way!"

No, the cliënt will remember what your max % level was, and apply it for those two weeks still, but as TheDrownedApe stated, the credit boost only applies to those tanks you have in the Holiday Ops Vehicle slots.

1. Yes, but do it after your last battle today, otherwise those decorations are wasted when the Christmas garage disappears tomorrow.

2. No, see my reply to Gardar7

3. Create as many decorations as possible. Even if you dont finish a collection, it will remember your progress when next Year's Holiday Ops comes back and you can complete the remainder then.

Only for tonight, which is why I suggest doing it after your last battle today. For the next two weeks bonus, see my first reply to your question. ;)

Thanks I would have forgotten and in any case I thought we had until the 15th for some reason.

2 billion shards... tbh I don't really care for any of the camo's so I'll play around with the decorations manufacturing thingy for as long as I keep interest and not get bored and pized off with it.

I don't like any of this years camo's anyway tbh but I was happy to get last years fireworks camo.

WG, it would be VERY USEFUL for many players who don’t regularly visit the forums if long running events like this had a count-down clock in the garage (optional in settings maybe, but ON by default) to avoid confusion, disappointment and needless rage posts in the forums (which we’ll undoubtedly see tomorrow..)

That only applies to the Holiday Ops Vehicles you chose, one vehicle per tier, which will keep receiving the bonus. Notice the text in bold "to prolong the effect of the Holiday Ops Vehicles"

Edit: Forgot to say - thanks for the heads up dutchy! :medal:

What WG said is (and i was surprised, that it is solved so user friendly):

  • The blue garage slots you have now, will be still available for another 2 weeks. Once you have them, they are not affected by your festive atmosphere anymore, so it's no problem to shred your decorations.
  • The highest Creditbonus, you achieved during the event will apply to the vehicles in the blue slots for another two weeks. So it's no problem to shred everything. you Credit bonus will drop, but it's getting restored tomorrow for the blue slots.
    • So, if you have 50% now, it will be 50%. If you had 35% last week, and it's now 25% (because you failed at failing), it will be 35%.
