Check it out. It's quite possible we will be postoped too, since why not.

https://worldoftanks.ru/ru/news/clan-wars/dawn-of-industry/

Anyone from WG can confirm if our event is also postponed?

BTW. seriously, postponing event 1 day before it starts?

Tankers!

In connection with the ongoing DDoS attack, the launch of the "Dawn of the Industry" event on the Global Map at an earlier announced date (January 16) is fraught with a serious risk for the comfort of the game. Given the potential instability of the servers, holding a large-scale event in which even one battle can affect the result is really very risky. Ultimately, technical failures can lead to a massive loss of progress and seriously affect the receipt of prizes.

Therefore, with great regret, we are postponing the beginning of the event to February 13th.

Please accept our sincere apologies.

Yeah I posted just after you about the EU CW being delayed too. Phil has confirmed it on Discord and also mentioned it was "official".

However Pansy RUDELY closed it

Someone from wg staff said on forum DDoS is attacking only US and RU servers, why we are postoponed then?  Doesnt look like we're affected

Also can it be confirmed that this DDoS is hurting EU and this hasn't just been cancelled because RU is having problems.

@Ancy

currently it seems like the EU cluster isn't affected by the DDoS attacks, but we can't risk running the event tomorrow for EU without preparing proper measures to prevent the same from happening on EU during the event

ok, um das hier mal nen bischen einzudämmen rate ich mal, sich den Russischen Artikel dazu anzugucken, der gerade live gegangen ist:

link: https://worldoftanks.ru/ru/news/notifications/tech-problems-15-01/

kurz: es gibt gerade einen groß angelegten DDoS Angriff auf das russische und amerikanische Cluster und es hat nichts mit schlechter Organisation des Events zutun.

Hardly to believe you postpone event on server that is not affected  to "not risk"

1 day before huge event  Many people prepared and took a lot of effort to manage a time to participate in event and you postpone it one day before.

Especially by taking a look at fails with 8 nations and halloween. It doesn't look good at all

Basically it's a disaster, would rather they at least attempted based on the fact there's actually 0 issues on EU and given how many people made arrangement with work commitments, social commitments etc.

The screams when it might have gone wrong on the EU server would have been epical...

Right now people still commited to the game have plans with days off from work etc. to play this event so changing that just because RU server is having problems will cause lost of players to get mad and for sure lots of them will get angry enough to leave.

But it seems like it is not a problem for WG. RU is not having it - Nobody will.

Its not personal to any of you, just this seems really weird for a big company to act like this.

Nicely done! there are a lot of players who changed their shifts at work or even took some days off from it. and then you announce something like this 1 day before the start? it's getting more and more emberrassing with each event. What a joke

Just bo be completely honest

It took for me a lot of effort to manage time to play campain at its original time-> 16.01 and get a chieftain. It's too late now to change any plans since you inform people 1 day before. It means most likely i won't be able to play it at february
Thanks WG. That's a great information for players like me, who changed a lot of plans to be able to play campain

Here is your golden award

Going to create quite some outrage with this, postponing 24h before the campaign starts after everybody have planned their schedules to play is just far too late.
It would be one thing if the EU server room was destroyed by the Australian wildfire (possible considering the lag sometimes) but a 1 day warning because of "risk" when the server cluster hasn't been attacked at all... you'll struggle to explain that to people.

It's only going to appear like a BS excuse to postpone not to anger the Russian community by letting EU run the campaign before them.

While I understand your frustration as I also planned to take part in DoI I have to say that we couldn't inform you earlier about this decision.
