I'm expecting you to run a normal season starting tomorrow until February 11th/12th/13th.

And if it doesn't happen, this is a sign of pure incompetence, lack of creativity, and the desire of removing CW from the game completely.

We have had a horrible CW year, with CW being frozen more often than it was online. You wouldn't treat your worst enemy like this.

If you have 0 people willing to think about this, then contact me and I'll have a document ready by tomorrow explaining you how you can do a 1-month fun season for all with a low cost.

with the 'professional' ESL and WGL (almost) being dead and from what I recall that 80% of the players doesnt participate in clanwars nor is a clanmember to begin with you might be on to something.

You know...

Imagine you're running a store.

You close the store for 3 months

You open your store again.

Are you going to be surprised when you get less customers?

Nope, thats why they throw in overpowered tanks so a few indeed come back. Without those too good rewards not much would play it to begin with I am afraid.

Not true. If WG stops trashing CW, it will become as active as before within a few months. We're solely talking about general activity now. Not about whether the top 1% would tryhard in campaign or not due to a certain reward tank.

And the current situation goes beyond the example I used. WG is literally comitting suicide. Let's change it to fit the situation:

Imagine you're running a store.

You close the store for 3 months

You announce a re-opening

The few people that are still interested line up in front of your store

You tell them it's not going to open

But you are forgetting the hundreds of people who buy things at the store at the other opening times ;)

You'll always have a number of CW players, but WG's policy is keeping that amount to a minimum.

I got no idea what you are talking about but it would not bother me if they stopped CW altogether, it died ages ago as far as im concerned with all the OP Reward Tanks and EBR's

Then impose tank restrictions. No need to delete the gamemode.

i used to be an avid CW player but its just too much of a hasstle now and i lost the intrest in it.

Future WoT news will start looking like this:

"Dear player, if we are lucky, maybe, perhaps, we hope, the XXX event will start at xx.xx.xxxx date. But don't bet on this since we might face some errors. We will see...".

I suspect that somewhere someone in WG has a spreadsheet telling them how much extra income they get from the cost of running CW and giving gold etc - and it probably tells them it is not a good return on investment - however it probably (like in WoWS) cant calculate the impact of FUN - if they make CW active and FUN then perhaps more people will stick around - wouldnt have left the game etc - then those people may have had friends who also started to play the game and have FUN as well.

Make CW available more or less all year - maybe like the old global map 1.0 with different areas with different gold rewards so to clans could fight in western Europe, mid clans in Middle East and Bottom clans in sub Saharan Africa.  There was a lot of fun to be had in the old way of doing CW - as pointed out earlier the Chips system seemed quite good .

I was never a fan of the change away from that - felt like change for change's sake (like many of the UI changes, such as the mission interface) - and many of the changes to CW and Strongholds do feel like at best they were badly thought through, or at worst trying to limit clan activities and rewards - and with so many other in game events it can be a struggle for the smaller or mid range clans to persuade players to play CW or Advances instead of the lates Mission/Marathon/Frontlines event.

My speculation is CW had the potential of beying fun so...it had to be terminated.

What were you thinking, you play good and get rewarded?! They eat sukkers like that for dinner.

Don't forget to add "potential external technical issues" somewhere in it: we all know WG is never to blame for any fail.

Unfortunately the Global Map Campaign has been postponed , continuing to discuss it is useless.
