I like the players/streamers - I've had a lot of fun watching them over the years.

I just hate the game mode with a passion. It's actually worse than ranked battles which I honestly didn't think was possible.

Why do people go to watch movies, go to theaters or art museums?
It's pretty much the same thing. If you want to see art, why don't you paint something yourself?
Why pay to go watch a football match when you could play yourself?
Why do we watch comedians when we could just crack jokes ourselves?

Streams are a mix of all of these.
Educational. You can watch somebody who's far better to see how they do it and learn from them or ask questions.
Entertainment. Most of them have unique personalities and people tend to have their own favorites who suit their humor, mood, play style or whatever else.
Community. Hundred or thousands of people sharing the same interest/passion communicating and joking with each other while watching a game they like played by somebody they find entertaining.

Tbh, watching streamers is boring.

Because some things are within the scope of our abilities, while others are outside the scope of our abilities.

And being able to perform an opera, is well outside of my ability.

Likewise, painting something like De Nachtwacht is also well outside of my ability.

Playing a computer game, on the other hand, is will within my ability, even if it is not at the same level as that of some other players.

The problem that concerns me is how team Dez just can't get out of playing random battles mode. In the Halloween modes by example it took just a day to figure out how to win then a few had to be taught on day two, but in Clash so many remain tick and can't see why they get to losing all the time as they run far away where random battles tend to be, as the reds cap with most of their team.

a head to head at the cap is more fun than a random camp fest

I find opera and football boring so I don't watch them. That's a matter of taste, not being unable to understand the appeal.

Very much a 'horses for courses' thing I guess.

Imagine someone being such an unimaginative person, he/she has to ask a public forum why other people don't like same things as he/she does.

It's entertainment. People are entertained by different things. It's just that simple.

I probably watch more twitch than I watch tv these days. I think podcasts still take up most of my time though.

Awww, Erwin; even for a dusty middle-aged fart like you there are streamers that you will enjoy. Those perky girls with their live-streams keep the economies of Colombia, Romania and the Ukraine afloat. May the gods bless the inventor of the webcam! :medal:

I haven't owned a TV for 15 years, what's the point when I can watch anything I want online.

Look again, every so closely.

Go on.

Closer..

Closer...

Closer..….

See, I'm not asking why so much as I'm asking if I'm the only one that thinks this way.

I mean really, imagine someone being so blind that they can't even read the title of a thread fully before commenting...…………...

Ahh, now that kind of streaming is an entirely different matter and something that I have absolutely no knowledge of...:hiding:

Imagine, if you will, a streamer that is actually entertaining.

I could get behind that...

I'll show myself out

The social aspect of sharing that experience?

Have some friends over, a few beers (or whatever your poison is), watch a movie.

You know what I mean right?

Of sharing which experience? Watching TV?
Sure, I live by myself but when I visit family we may watch some movie on TV.
Nothing that stops you from using a computer screen and the internet for that either though.

Fair point, they're both acting on their stage.

Its just sad that the better actors get paid a lot less.

It's a cool event for a nice commander. I probably won't grind it for two reasons: 1. I'm already overflowing with spare commanders, I don't have enough tanks to put them on since I have a lot of crews already shared between multiple tanks.

2. Battles seem to last like 3 or 4 minutes from what I'm reading, I hate fast paced battles.

Maybe it's a generational thing?

I am, after all, firmly middle-aged:(

I remember seeing the last episode of the Vietnam war and the Yom Kippur war on the boob tube. I don't recall any streamers back then, so it must be a generational thing.

I really couldn't care less which over-hyped streamer has the most fan bois.

All this pandering narcissism makes me ill.

Nope you're not the only one.

I couldn't be bothered with this either
