Since i play for a while i had quite a few mouse.

Trackball with Amiga (odd, but it glowed! yay!)

MS optical with win98 (fairly reliable but not that accurate)

MS 6000/ laser with XP (threw it against a wall since it went nuts too often)

Logitech LX8 for win7+10 (what a sexy beast. I bought it twice and used it until they couldn't click anymore!)

Anyhow, after those died i tried a Mamba Wireless Razer...

All the DPI and much battery, they promised, all with fancy lights.

What i got: All the DPI and little battery, with fancy lights turned OFF.

Srly; it lasts 3~4 days tops, despite quick standby times too!

Opened it up... and found a 800mah battery. (and that's the +150% model!? So the previous had 320mah!? 1~2days!? That's not wireless. That's a joke!)

For comparison sake: the LX8's ran with 2xAA's. Not just could you swap those within 10 seconds, but mine was Lio/USB with 1450mah EACH = 2900mah!

And there are even stronger models out there with 2000 each! Not to forget if they get old/die ... just get new ones! - oh and it didn't run costly LED's sooo... took 3+ weeks to die.

Long story short: Razer... kinda bleps hard!

... luckily i am more capable than a multi-million dollar company (as usual) and took 10$ out of my pocket to fix what would have cost them 5$ to get it right in the first place.

Opened it up. Removed the joke. Made the new one fit. From 800mah >>> to 1800mah... = ACTUAL +125% battery POWA.

Now it will last about one week which is good enough and all i could fit in there with my first attempt. I am thinking about simply solder 1~2 of those 2000mah things in there.. but that's for another time.

All of this doesn't take more knowledge than how to use a screwdriver (btw: they hide the 2 top screws beneath the label, not the 'pads' as usual; another 'FU' to the customers) ...

Wish companies would give a damn instead of cheapening out where it matters the most.  (heh...)

ps. and kids, don't try this at home! I am a professional amateur :justwait:

Yeah... there's a reason wired mice are still a thing.

I use a Razer Deathadder as well for about 5 years now and I absolutely love it. The only mouse I'd consider switching it out for would maybe be the Logitech MX Master 3, but that thing is pretty expensive.
