Can we make 7v7 a second option next to randoms? I am loving this team clash format. Obviously it makes the horrible balance of tier 10 even more clear. But just 14 players on the map feels so much better. It leaves me actually oppurtunities to flank and create crossfires in my Leopard. Normal randoms are so stale, often you can only choose between the medium and the heavy line. In 7v7 you van actually be creative.

If they kept it at tier 10 but with the usual added bonds per battle, that would be sweet.

No.

Mediums/ heaviums are still the way to go in 7v7. Personally I really dislike how fast paced the gameplay is. The outcomes are so random. It's just whichever team has the least BB tanks and rushes mid all together that wins. 15v15 leaves a little breathing room for tactical decisions. Camo and view range is WORTHLESS in 7v7 since 99% of the time you're fighting close range. It could have been better as a tier 6 or 8 gamemode since I think the idea of having a CC commander is pretty cool.

Surprisingly many people seem to think 7vs7 plays just like random games. I had a guy telling me to "got sit and spot in bush" in my T100LT. Yeah buddy, what am I going to spot? The entire enemy team is in cap area. And he sniped from 500m with a 5A BB all game, because hey why not it works in randoms sometimes.

With this in mind, 7vs7 could be a pretty decent game mode once people start to understand the meta.

EDIT: Btw tanks like Batchat work in 7vs7 pretty well, because it's 7vs7 and not 15vs15. Plenty of room on maps to flank and you don't get caught while reloading so easily. If all enemies sit near cap and they are all spotted, batchat can really punish with a full clip.

I'd actually really love this to stay but as a tier 8 thing so the super OP tier 10 reward tanks can't take part.
Yes I know there are some OP tier 8 Prems, but they are not as game breaking as the Obj 279(e)

In my experience, it's more the Batchat(s) lolrushing one tank and then dying to the other 5. But yes, fast autoloaders can be a powerful tool in this format.

What this format shows best is that the maps are too small and over populated in normal randoms, allowing too little flanking opportunities.

Maybe the game mode could be 10 vs 10? That would still give tanks their role (like light tanks could spot), but keep the maps "bigger".

Limit light tanks to 2 per team and only one arty.

Does it? Disagree myself, when games are not bogged down corridor stale mates and you have much more space to move and flank, those meta tanks to me seem less powerful.

I went through some non-meta and underpowered in randoms tanks last night and all were pretty much successful. I'd say tanks like the Progetto, Bat Chat, TVP, Obj. 140 etc. are the most powerful in this gamemode.

I'd agree it would be fun though to have this mode as option, at least a regular event, it's nice to be able to play medium tanks and actually have options for once, not just stare down a corridor wondering what to do, or drive to the other flank and have to worry about 5 camping TDs.

you are right. I played mostly batchat and i was winning majority of battles (like 75-80% every day) just because at start of battle i was always catching some solo hero and soaked him to 0
When they capped i just peeked and clipped every single one and finished lowest hp before they even turned  around
Once i ramkilled 2 guys on one reload

I was also thinking like that, there should be other random mode in 7x7, i dont care the price or loss, just love the TEAM CLASH MODE.

Sometimes peaople doesnt seek tactical gameplay :)

Maybe not every time but, every day just 3 or 4 hours  will be good.

problem is 7x7 format needs actual team play. it doesn't work well as a random format. means good platoons and OP tanks can just dominate. great if you are in the position, crap if not.

In 15vs15 the team can carry a couple of bots with good map strategy or play.

5 good players cannot carry 2 no hopers in this format.

Working just fine as far as I can see.  Players adapt and learn to support team mates quite quickly in this format.  The relaxed non competitive vibe's helping a bit though.

Id love this mode to be permanent as im not the greatest fan of tier 10 especially in 15v15 but this one makes it less annoying, more fun and easier to get into

Yes, I am also greatly enjoying 7v7 format. This game mode actually forces you to think and make tactical decisions. Randoms feel very zombied down and uninteresting to play, everyone goes to "designated" role locations, sit there whole game, and the game doesn't progress until one team gets impatient, starts doing more mistakes than the other, no tactical play whatsoever, you just sit there and wait for crapto happen.

In 7v7 every single battle is interesting and has probabilities for a lot of different outcomes, promotes teamplay instead of using everyone as meatshields. So, yes. Please WG make this mode permanent.
And one more crucial thing, you can actually farm credits in this mode, since you have space to flank/move instead of slinging premium ammo. Unlike in 15v15 randoms where it mostly depends on how well your team plays..

So much this, so many maps are bogged down by either stalemate brawling corridors where heavies just stare at each over from perfect hull down spots, or the other flank is two TD camping balconies wit open space between them waiting for someone to get spotted, that most games these days come down to which ever team pushes loses and both teams are just waiting for the mistakes.

As an additional mode without platoons and with increased xp and credits for good performance, it could work IMO. With 7-10 per team per map.

Absolutely this! After playing to level 19 in team clash (in a row), I decided to play few randoms with brand new IS-2-II and how disappointing that was, boring games without any dynamic changes, just the normal corridor-fest and camping. Team clash matches are like breeze of fresh air with room to move, flank, defend, attack, focus fire etc - all things that makes matches enjoyable. Plus teamwork, thing that you hardly see in randoms - in TC, just type in "3 to cap, rest 4 defend cappers from square xx and yy" and it just works.

So yeah, please WG, make some adjustment for XP & credit income, drop the BB tanks and maybe raise the player limit to 10 vs 10 and we have a supernice game mode.

Its a novel mode, with some positives and negatives.

Playing tier 10 tanks is just too expensive, no matter what mode we play.

Shooting tanks instead of being shot by tanks helps.

That aside, it should IMO be open for every tier (from 5, 6 or 7 upwards) as a separate game mode.
