A few week ago I assume that something goes wxrong in Battle XP calculation.

Something as changed dramatically .

Ther is a "before" and an after XP Calculation process. And this new mod remember me a test WOT have done a few years before.

XP is going nuts. Really.

I do time by time, screenshots of my "good party" results (mostly rare). but, sine a month I do screen the experience results of battle. It is confirming my guesses.

http://forum.worldoftanks.eu/index.php?/topic/734127-nouveau-systeme-de-calcul-de-lxp-de-bataille/

XP have changed of calculation and is the most dumbest thing ever seen.

Explanations please ?

Compared to what?

You gotta consider how many factors there are for XP calculations. You change one of those, the results will change. As you won't get the same for doing 3K damage every game etc.

This^^

To OP

It's not as simple as ''1k damage always equals 200 exp'' for example. It matters if some of the damage you did was assisted and if it was to tanks that are higher or lower tiers than you. Even critical damages affect exp gains.

Here is the wiki article of battle mecahincs and exp gain based on actions: https://wiki.wargami...nce_and_Credits

Hi folks, I may be not know everything about XP calculation, but with around 12K battles, I'm really familiar with my (poor) results and I barely know where I'm suppose to "stats" with my experience with wich tank I was playing and how the battle have been driven. I'm on a constant progression since more than 1 year know, working on per battle damage, scout and absorbed. These recently become an absolute piece of chaos

Now what I'm saying is that it happens a MAJOR CHANGE IN THIS XP CALCULATION.

So I wish that wargaming was able to explain something about it.

and mostly explain the way XP was calculated before, and now.

My "gaming" exprience just fucked up whith these change. I plan to quit.

So, when was writen https://wiki.wargami...nce_and_Credits ?

what are the factors value ? what was they ?

What I'm trying to explain is that hey ghave be changed in a major way that wargaming didn't deliver infos about yet.

Look, if you don't more clearly try to explain what the exact problem is, we're not able to help you understand it.

Because as far as I can tell, there's been no chance.

I mean:

Are all almost the same exp, with some variance due to shooting lower/higher tier tanks, or doing more or less spotting for myself.

XP is calculated by many factors.

The tier difference between your vehicle and the vehicle you're shooting at/dealing damage to.

The tier difference between your vehicle and the vehicle you're spotting/receiving assistance damage for.

The amount of enemy vehicles you've spotted.

The amount of enemy vehicles you've killed (kills) and the tier difference relative to your vehicle's.

The distance at which you shoot targets - shooting targets you can spot, i.e. targets within your viewrange, meaning, targets you are able to keep spotted yourself, nets you double the amount XP you'd get from shooting targets your allies spotted.

TL;DR - damaging higher-tier targets up-close rewards you with much larger XP amounts than stomping lower-tier tanks.

Also, losing cuts your base XP in half, I'm sure you know. However, there's this thing called "Courageous Resistance" which is an XP bonus applied post battle, earned for what is basically "going down swinging", i.e. fighting a bunch of enemy tanks and dealing severe damage to them or killing some of them when you have little or no chance to win the battle. You only get this bonus in a losing battle, as a sort of consolation award for trying to win. AFAIK it is double the amount of base XP you'd earn in a losing battle, so it's a very nice bonus. (I'm not sure exactly how much it is but it's a nice sum of bonus XP and is worth getting if possible.)
