I like the fact that you can tip over, but it ruins the gaming experience if you cant move for the rest of the match...

I would suggest a turn timer and the tipped tank.

Currently tipping 180 onto your back depletes your health fairly quickly once 30 seconds have passed.

But turning on your side renders you helpless until the match is resolved, unless someone mercifully decides to aid you in your peril.

I suggest a countdown so you can return to the match eg. 30, 60, 90 etc, seconds. This could also as an example inflict  a 10%, 15%, 25% etc health loss. But at least you get to play :)

That's actually a pretty good idea.

The problem is not the tipping, but the toxic team members who ignore calls for help.

In fairness, it is often difficult to pick out genuine calls for help amongst the plethora of map pinging & chat spam (I've missed a couple myself).

What we need is a dedicated means of calling for such help.

That, like a "Help! My vehicle is overturned!" or a more broader-termed "Help! I'm stuck!" would be very welcome.

I wish people looked around themselves more though...it's bad situational awareness. I was so nice the other day, I helped an ally flip back on his tracks after that same guy had pushed/blocked me on purpose earlier in the match. Of course I asked him what karma tasted like before helping him. :D He said nothing and left me in peace.

I’m not against flipping back automatically after a time and health penalty but

- this could be a wonderful new way of trolling. Flip someone, wait till they’re righted, flip them again. More fun than dead after 30sec...

- Should NOT work if an enemy flips you, you still die after 30 sec. or stay on your side.

Half the time I get raged at for not helping. I have to cross 5 TD guns to get to him. It's not worth it to risk 90% of my HP to help one guy that yolos the second he gets back up. Like half of them do.

Toxic?! That doesn't mean what you seem to think it means.

Thing is, most of these people just spam the "Help!" key instead of typing something like "Help, I tipped over onto my side, can someone help me up?". I mean, nobody (except arty) can see across the battlefield, so they'd better say exactly what's wrong if they want someone to help them - after all, it's not like can do anything else (except maybe turn their turret and fire at the fool dumb enough to roll in front of their cannon).

However, as someone pointed out already, you often cannot help them, since they either tipped over in such a stupid position that they're either totally stuck or that it would take a disproportionate amount of time to right them again, or they tipped over near the enemy, so they'll either be dead shortly anyway, or it is suicide to go out and try to save them.

or the one tank that flips, resulting in lots of chatting, distracting the team, and the people dying trying to help the tipped.

can result in many thanks or many insults.  still better then 9  players with 0 dmg.

edit:  i agree it should be fixed to a time limit or tip-assist (hold button, 30 second timer) something like that .

This is easy to fix, but somwhow WG has not even thought about it.

The softaware knows when you are on your back as your precious HP is melting away in front of your eyes. If you now press "Help!" the message should be automatically changed to "Help me, I have tipped over!"

Well, I know how I'd feel if I was in his place. I wouldn't like it.

Imagine his thoughts:

"haha imma push you, go away from my spot scrub"

"oh **** help i'm flipped!...oh it's...the guy i pushed...he's flipped me back"

"thanks...uh...k bye...imma go do my thing...uh...bye..."

:)

I can see how that would be rather gratifying.

My experience has been that if someone has tipped they are useless and if you help them they will soon die anyway

Better to ignore and do something useful yourself

I untipped someone this evening and he was dead 30 seconds later through being stupid

Didn't get thanked for wasting time on him either

I'd love people to tip me for me being in their game. The extra credits are always useless.

Yes to tipping!

Tipped myself on occasion. Had tanks help me and ignore me. Tried to help flipped tanks numerous times, been successful and died trying. But its a team game and if I'm close I will help if I can.

Ignore the toxic players that say you shouldn't help, they are usually the type will not help you win anyway and are just worthy of ignoring.
