So with the Sandbox changes being made public by a video denoting them, we have had the possibility of seeing what vehicles they'll be removing. The lower tiers will be the ones loosing the most of their ranks, alongside a couple of higher tiered ones (notably to me, the Firefly, Jumbo, AMX 30s and VK 30.01D).

With that said, looking at the renewed Tech Tree, which tanks will you miss the most?

(I'm not home so I can't post a comparison photo, but I shall do so once I'll return. If you want to check for yourself, go watch Wargaming's latest Sandbox Test Server changes video.)

What is being done with these tanks that are being removed that people worked for, are they going to keep them in some form whether they go the route of being collector tank if you already owned it?

Some will be added to a special tab of "Reward/Collector Tanks" from which you can buy them after reaching tier 6, some will be removed from the tech tree and from any obtainable source alltogether and will only remain in your garage if you own them.

They removed the Sherman Jumbo and have given it the 76mm gun, removing the thick stock turret and derp. GIVE IT BACK! #SaveTheDerps

Well as the tier 5 and down tanks will remain as is. As you can still buy them, and still have to grind them. As they are not elite. So nothing will change there for me to miss anything.

As for the few tier 6 and up tanks? Well I suspect the old Jumbo. As that's the only one I don't use in its elite form. As I run stock turret. The others I still get to keep as is if I get them. Never played the KV-13 to name one, nor any of the tier X's even tho I have them unlocked. And a crew training Churchill Gun Carrier. What's not to like?

Was watching qb streaming the sandbox when he clicked was asked to show M4E2 and I though I saw the 76mm M1A2 being show with 140mm of pen instead of 128.

Can anyone confirm this?

Edit: might have been the dmg being 140 now, wasn't paying attention when it went past. Sb is still installing, so cannot check it yet.

That was the alpha. It has the 76mm now. But gold pen is 177 with 115 alpha But 3K AP DPM. It's the highest tier 6 med DPM I have atm. Even more than the T-34-85M. The lowest is the Swedish prem med at 2K.

They arent gonna get removed, they will be put under a different section. This is insanely good in my opinion and I will tell you why.

So for my example i will use the T67 which will be removed from the tech tree.

T67 is know as a tier 5 sealclubber.

Now after this update i will still have access to all the sealclubbing shits but now every single of the removed shits will be given tank reward status. What happens with this? Well now instead of having to dedicate a crew for that specific tier 5 i can actually move my tier 10 E4 crew ( Which is maxed out ) and i can put it in this sealclubbing crapwithout having to retrain it BECAUSE IT HAS REWARD VEHICLE STATUS.

Thanks for making sealclubbing 10 times easier.

A few things I noticed:

  • LTTB no longer leads to a medium branch. Also where is T62A?
  • KV-2 no longer leads to arty branch. Leads to SU-152 and no easy jump into arty branch.
  • Where is JPanther II? No way to skip Ferdinand now.

Shortcuts are no longer a thing. It's why the KV-13 and Churchill GC was removed. As they were shortcut tanks. T-62A and the JP II are turned into crew trainers if you owned them. If you did grind the JP II, you will get the tier 9 unlocked regardless of how far you did grind it. So yes, no way to skip the Ferdi now. But if you rush to the JP II in time. You still can skip it.

I just had a look and other removed tanks keep all their modules.  I don't know why the Jumbo has been treat differently.

The ones I looked at were all in top config - e.g. T71. Don't know why they'd do it differently on different tanks.

In eekeeboo's video he shows the Pz1C and says that the removed tanks keep all their modules.

I looked at a couple of low tier ones and they had theirs.

Ah, it's up to tier V become collectors and keep their modules, over tier V become special vehicles with one configuration.  Explained here.

So glad I trained dedicated crews that are locked to a tank (that can train all others) and have nowhere to go.

It's a long list on low tiers. Inc the Marders, Hetzer and M3 Lee. But they are not going poof. Just being relocated and will still be available for credits. So no rush to buy those.

On tier 6 + there are a few tanks. These as pointed out will be turned into special vehicles and will be removed. Inc the KV-13, KV-85 "KV-1S moves to take its place", Churchill GC, Firefly, JP II, VK 30 01D, T21, Jumbo, T71 DA, and AMX 30. Basically most shortcut tanks. Tier X's that are going are the T-62A, 113 and the AMX 30B. Those are the tanks you should aim to get asap to be sure.

The only one not mentioned by WG is the SU-14-1. Since the S-51 shortcut is removed. The S-51 takes his place. But it's not on any special tank list, or mentioned what happens to it if you own it.

KV-85 "KV-1S moves to take its place"

This is the best joke of the lot.

Once there was a tier 6 that was considered too good.

It got removed, another took its place, and a tank with the same name showed up one tier below.

*WG Time Machine*

KV-85 gets removed and the KV-1S gets promoted to tier 6.

They also used a time machine to make the Crusader a light again, with the same gun, at tier 6, with more mobility. So basically it's the old tier 5 with scout MM.
