Opinion from an owner of this tank and the T-44-100: Overall the T-44-100  seems the better option as it loses some armor (but gains side skirts!) for better DPM and movement. In +2 matchmaking the extra armor of the T54 first prototype doesn't do much.

The main problem with t-54 first proto is not it's speed (even tho it's slower than 44-100), or it's armour (which is ok), it's the bloody awful gun handling

Why do they promote only one tank and not the low tier one : after the Tier III M2 Light, now it's the Tier II Type 97 TE-KE

Troublemaker ... the problem is that it makes troubles only to those that play it. Armor is useless, it mostly goes in tier 9/10 battles, and lower tiers would just use gold and circle around it while it tries to turn and aim...

I wouldn't say that you can find great deals on BM, rather you can find some rare ones there. :)

The sideskirts on T-44-100 are very situational. In current meta, prove effective when angling against higher tier vehicle that shoots HEAT.

It's a great tank and do not trust to ppl that say different, the only thing that bothers me after playing with T-44 is that it is little bit slow, but when you compare it to T-54 you realise that it is tier 9 tank in tier 8 gameplay.

This tank, like many others, with low penetration, simply don't worth to buy, when you can buy OP premium tanks. Just waste of money.

It will be ok for credits on Black Market

premium tank, which have penetration lower then 220 on main shell -  bad tank

my advice, buy "something else". We all know what it can be :teethhappy:

or better, do referral program. 300-500 battles and you will get something, with gun that at least can penetrate other tanks

Well, to distinguish both tanks T-44-100 and T-54 Mod1 you will have to accept the pros and cons of the both:

T-44-100: a bit weak armor layout, but better gun handling and very good speed

T-54-Mod1: a decent armor layout, average speed and not so good gun handling in comparison with its brother, but you have to work it in close combat situation (brawl fights) to be able to use the gun.

I have however, one feedback:

To make T-54-Mod1 more different from T-44-100: Please, consider to increase its alpha damage a bit, to make it more useful in brawl fights(close combat) and thus to be able to trade HP more well. Let's say 280-300 alpha damage.

Hm. By that reasoning, of all the 5000 tier 8 premium mediums in the game, the only prems worth buying would be Cent 5/1 RAAC, Primo Victoria, Strv 81, FV4202 and Lorr 40t.

I think many people would disagree that those are the only t8 prem MTs worth buying. The Progetto, Lansen and T44-100 seem popular, for example.

T54-mod 1 is one my favorite premium tanks in the game. I have more than 500 games in it with %60 win rate.
Even though there are power creepers in tier 8 medium section this one still stands for itself due its armor.
When you top tier: You can bully all same tier meds (even progetto) if you know how to angle and use its armor.
When you are bottom tier you can be a good support and stand as second line to vanguard heavies of your team.
Its a mainly brawl tank so the gun handling is not comparable to t44-100.But i do not have problem to penetrate enemy even though penetration is relatively low.
Comparing t54mod 1 to t44-100 is like comparing superpershing to t25 pilot or m46kr. Yes they are all mediums but inside medium class they have their own style as well.
If you like medium game play but also like to have some armor t54 mod1 still a decent money maker.

i forgot how much progetto have, so yes 200 is ok. t-44-100 is good only when you are more then average player
