The answer is mathematics. WG makes changes a little complicated, so lazy peeps don't do the math, and WG CMs point out the pluses and say that they're balancing the minuses (without getting into any calculus ofc). The way to objectively appreciate whether it's good or bad is to count how much you get per hour of gameplay. In the end that's the end measure. And to quantify into that every reward, I mean the final rewards as well as the intermediate and end battle ones.

Work on it half an hour and you'll figure out (but we don't have a figure of how many points are required to get to stage 15, so I approximated 20000 points) that there are minuses:

- credit per hour is worse

- bonds reward is (way) smaller

- gold reward is gone

- credit boosters are gone

- consumables are gone

- premium tanks are gone

and pluses:

+ you'll get 2 T9 reward tanks instead of just 1, for LESS total work that the T9 last year required.

So it's pretty simple:

- you value T9 reward tanks (which are non-premium, bear that in mind) more than everything in the minus section? Go for it.

- you play the mode for fun, not for the rewards? Go for it

- you are mainly after rewards? You've got a worse deal than last year, think twice about participating.

You're interested about the math behind all this? I might spend the time to post it for you, I might not. I have a life dude
