Map control? Nah

Leave base and actually try to win? Nah

Have to compete for such a strong position? Nah

 

Those things are too hard, instead camp in base all game, get an amazing position and get all the advantages with zero work. 

 

The WRs of those in the screenshot? 42%, 46%, 48%, and 46%, cos you know they aren't dumbing down the game with these positions.

I've seen Jagdpz E100s camp there all game against tier 8s. Must be fun.

mines is very bad for games up to tier 7 , it should be limited for lower tier games and also Ensk and Overlord

Rubbish map designs where there are big No Man's Land areas in the middle so people are encouraged to base camp in the hope the enemy over-extend and do something stupid... Mines isn't the only culprit, all the while the basecampers ask for the sole LT to "spot" which actually translates to "go suicide so we can get some free farm"

I would swap my team anytime for playing on that map.

Having 70%+ winrate on average  , ending with 40% today :)

Well... it's one of two reasons why I hate playing tier 8+ on that map.

This map is terrible to play. North spawn - game start, rush hill more than few tanks  and win. South spawn - can't really prevent north's hill rush without getting in vulnerable position, only way to win - camp and hope that enemy is stupid and die on hill in advantageous position.

If I was in the VTU I think I would have attempted to get next to the cliffside and proxy spot. But yeah, it's not on my list of favorite maps...

Too many tds in some MM.

I really don't understand how it works btw : 3 scouts and 3 arties in town and next battle only tds on open map.

I have "Mines" banned from my map rotation since day1 of that feature. However i wish i could ban like 10 more maps at least. There are many more examples like yours for other maps in WoT which show crazy flaws in their design which is obviously rewarding camping gameplay too much than it should.

In my honest opinion this maps needs to be reworked and to be restricted to low tiers only (T1 to T6). It is also very small sized and battles there last no more than 2-3 minutes most of the time.

Its sad fact but maps like those are the peak development we get from that multimillion gaming company...

Mines has no place at any tier above 5 or 6.  Might as have Widepark as tier 10 as well.

 

Pretty sure i could design a balanced map on a crumpled up fag packet, while eating sushi off a naked Russian girl from russianbrides4U.com, while pulling 5g in a F16 and yes thats inverted and create a map that doesnt have 2/3rds of the map thats not useable.

Not only Mines is like this, Ruinberg south spown, redshire south spown and etc are one sided, one team has better advantages, let's not forget Paris. 

 

The maps need serious rebalancing. But who listen?

This mindset has been clearly visible with some new maps and the recent reworks. Steppes anyone? New Stalingrad? Erlenberg? Mines especially teach new players from the early days that they can win game by just camping. Even more so, cause in tiers 3-4 they will meet seal clubbers with their OP crews, cammo nets and binocular telescopes doing just that. I know, cause I just passed this mark and I'm happy to have mines in rotation only once in a while.
