I had a bright idea to prepare for Frontlines with new Pantera and Emil 1...

Those low tier "mediums" are just irredeemable shitboxes, gameplay feels like torture, i feel like im getting waterboarded, i just wanna confess and get the grind over with.

Cheer up, the Progetto 65 will be TotT next two weeks, significantly boosting your grind speed and with reduced tank costs. Even though it must be said that the Italian tech tree is one of the smoother, more bearable grinds anyway!

That's why they invented BluePrints and free xp, to skip tanks you don't like.

I agree with you to a certain extent on the Swedish tanks, but I found the Italian line to be a breeze. One of the least painful experiences actually.

You should try the Polish tech tree :D
The Tier V stock is the utter nightmare vehicle from hell.

It's why I always make sure to have enough free XP to skip a few tiers when I did start a new line. Never played the tier 5 and down Swedish meds. Nor the Italians.... Until today. I bought it as I had a spare crew lying around. It's not terrible tbh with the middle gun.

Tho that said. The worst stock grind on low tiers is the Hetzer. I played that on NA recently with a 75% crew and all the stock modules. It's about as agile and fast as a T95 with a dead driver. And blinder then anything.

I noticed a pattern on most lower tier tanks...

-They're blind as a bat

-Slow and sluggish like heavy tanks

-Paper armor

-Horrible aim time

-Bad accuracy

-Arty is much bigger threat since they fire faster and are more accurate

-Seal clubbers in Hetzer are gonna send you back to garage in no time

-Don't even bother shooting KV-1

Italian -

Tier II - probably one of the best tanks in tier

Tier III - perfectly solid medium

Tier IV is probably one of the best tanks in tier.

Tier V - ok, this one's crap

Tier VI - uninspiring

Tier VII - a very good medium

Swedish -

Tier IV-VI - solid mediums

Tier VII - not a great fan, but some people are. Grind is horrid, but end tank is usable.

You seem surprised that lower tier tanks have worse statistics than higher tier tanks. I found many of the above a joy to play.

Dude, if you really hate it, don't do it.

Plus like already mentioned above, that's what those blueprints are for, - skipping the grinds.

Steve, the clueless, wants to get to tier 10, and he wants it NOW.

Yeah, this is the sort of catering that's been happening for years that makes this game so enjoyable...

As Balc0ra has said and maybe others use free XP to skip some low and mid tier tanks.

First though I check YouTube for any reviews/guides/gameplay because occasionally a low tier is not a bad tank to play so I generally grind through them and this can save anything from a few K of free XP and even well over 20K.

My Polish tech tree is free XP'd all the way to the 40TP and not bought a single tank yet. It is now on hold till I build up my free XP again, but most likely I will probably start playing the tanks from now on either by using free XP to unlock the modules on the 40TP then play it or use free XP to the 45TP then start playing that tank.

The Italians are good, I managed to adjust my playstyle for the T7 as it has no depression and the accuracy is a bit wayward but the grind to the Pantera was quite enjoyable.

For the Swedes, the Leo was ok  but the gun on the T6 (is it a strv74) was a joy. I seem to remember the low tiers to be a bit irratating, but you're through them so fast. I was a bit disappointed when I finally got the Emil but I have yet to unlock the top modules.

Tier 6 is actually rather solid slow speed aside. Turret bounces more than the tier 7. I bought the tier 5 today actually as I had extra crews lying around. Middle gun memes by doing 200 damage every 3.5 seconds to a Super Hellcat never got old.

But with the Italians, the gems are at tier 8+.

No way.

You play low tiers with an untrained crew, save those blueprints for later.

Well it's pretty no brainer, really. Tiers 8,9 and 10 have the autoreloaders.

Just like Czech tree, where the tanks with autoloaders are good and rest is trash.
