Which changes would you rather want to have implemented with patch 1.8?

  1. Roll with the New Balance update, let WG make a few adjustments and optimizations and all we go well from here. (13 votes [15.12%])

  2. Reduce arty to 0-1 per team / remove gold ammo and nerf unreasonable thick armor (add weakspots) / no more corridor maps, make mediums flank again / stop the powercreep of older tanks. (42 votes [48.84%])

I'd like to check the community's mood with a lame poll to see if WG could maybe choose the a much faster/cheaper/easier route by following their customers' suggestions

OR

if the World of the Tonks is in dire need of a full blown makeover as suggested in WG's new balance update.

1. Throw suggested HE changes in the trash.

 

2. Wait that has nothing to do with 1.8

 

3. Don't call a small update such as 1.8 "1.8"

 

4. Throw whoever suggested HE changes in the trash.

 

5. From 2nd poll option - max 2 arty per team, reduce premium ammo damage by 25%, make russian commander hatches less than 300mm thick (pleeezz), buff forgotten tanks.

Add "Something else" to the poll.

I would like it they start on a simple crew rework.

 

Not something about new skill or how they work in the battle.

Just make them simple to move around and manage.

Revert game to version 8.6, remove artillery and reduce RNG to +/-10%. There, no more balance changes needed.

Considering we had 0.11, 0.12 .... they have plenty of numbers to go to before 2.0

To be quite honest: I would like the option: "Remove/severely nerf the EBR line, specifically the retarded way how its wheels are the best form of armor in the game.

Secondly... go back to the drawing board and bring the old classics back on par with all the new stuff.

 

Also, is it just me or is RNG become as retarded as [edited]!
Lately I've observed on numerous occasions that if I have a tank in my sights from its side -whereby the tank has armor type of say: progetto or skoda)- my target reticle shows up prominently green and I can even swivel it pretty much acros the entire hull, that I still get ricochets...... I could swear that this game is going to crap.

Abolish the premium account. Increase the amount of free xp that can be earned with premium tanks and use those to facilitate faster progress up a particular line. Introduce other cost measures such as camo or emblems that boost earnings so that players still fund the game but without the constant ticking of premium time.

 

Make tank skins worthwhile - €10 is too much for a skin that does nothing but look nice.

 

Balance changes are a necessary evil. If we didn't have rotating meta tanks, everyone would play the same "best" tanks and the game would die of stagnation. You only have to watch a clan wars stream to see that with everyone playing Chieftains, Object 907 or 279e. I suspect it only continues in CW because of the short seasons.

There is only one true change we need because if that one is done we have a fighting chance all the other issues will get fixed. Till then they will mess about and cause probably 2 problems for every one that they try to fix.

 

The one solution that will work Wargamming sell World of Tanks.

Mediums never flanked iirc, it's a tale from youtubers who got rare oportunities to flank back in the days.

On some maps it is doable but it requires luck and some pretty specific conditions so no, it's not a reliable strategy. This game is all about head on clashes and everyone who wanders in no mans land gets picked off by the TDs, those guys who manage to get actual dynamic gameplay from their meds and lights live the good life.

Well, since armor got so artificially over-buffed and each map now has 3 "viable corridors", indeed the fastest and most safe way is simply to press "2" nowadays.

 

Flanking can still be done *IF* the enemy is not locking off 3 of the 3 viable corridors, otherwise it's just pressing "2" and "clearing up" a corridor so you can start flanking.

What was map that is no longer in the game where you could flank and which had more than 3 coridors?

Can you name one?

You can flank on every map if enemies abandon one side or you get control over specific part of the map.
