To add gameplay variety and to make some Premium tanks on tier 7 and 8 come with extra modules configuration, like for example an american T34 give it the 105mm and the 150mm option for the main armament, (dpm or alpa/pen) or make one tank come with different turrets and engine/tracks setups to have a faster but weaker option with better view range.

Making those premium vehicles come already with all the modules available it's not much of a deal.

Most of the time one option will be definitly stronger than the other, so what you propose would mostly affect a few noobs who bought the tank to early and a few pros who can handle any tank, everyone else will just use the better option. If WG were able to properly balance such things, then your proposal might have been a good one.

Many other non premium tanks have this feature, to be able to choose a role instead of another, the skill of the players don't affect the accessibility of a tank or a premium tank, but only the mission reward ones and also those could benefit from this.

I mean, long gone are the days from when WOT wanted to use only historical vehicles, so why not add variety in this way?

Yes, but most of the time the feature isnt used by players. How many tanks are there with more than 1 gun that can be considered top gun etc. ?

I love to play the Sherman Jumbo in both 105mm stock hull down derp guy and in the high dpm 76mm top gun configurations, is completely different playstyle, and both ar fun

Same, i have two gunmarks on it with its derp. Its so sad that the stock turret will probably be removed soon....

Anyway, that is one tank, all in all there are probably a dozen or 2 dozen tanks at best like that. First other non premium tanks should get more diverse equipment, maybe after that premium tanks.

Jumbo and Borsig are the only two tanks I see use different variants. I can't even recall the last time I did see a French AMX M4 HT with the big guns vs the stock one etc. So just because it's there, don't mean they will use it.

150mm on the T34? That's a bit of an overkill. 105 with less pen and more ROF? Sure. As the T34 suffers from a bad ROF as is due to the high pen on the 120mm. It don't need less. But... Blitz has done this. As in only guns. IS-6 there has the same gun we have. But it also has a higher pen 122mm "more of a shell change" with more pen, but less DPM. I can see something like that working on a few tanks.

But for engines or turrets etc? As tbh, if I wanted a faster T34 with less armor, alpha and more ROF and mobility. I would just play the Renegade. And there you see why. If they did, you won't buy more prems.
