Really getting peeved off with the increase of Allied players who take it upon themselves to ruin another players game by deliberately ramming them into water and drowning them. This has happened to me three times now, every time whilst I am in an SPG. The chat back when I ask WTF? "Arty will not make a difference to the game outcome anyway". I have also witnessed other players suffering the same fate in other matches.

It is players like this that are slowly putting me off continuing playing WoT, a game I have been playing for over 8 years now. There is just no need for this type of conduct and although I know there is a complaint system in place, I feel that there should be more severe penalties for players who keep thinking that this kind of gameplay is acceptable.

Rant over :playing:

Happened very rarely to me but  check the save replay in settings and send them to support.

I mentioned this in another thread.  If you want to report UC you have to open a ticket and send a replay as I don't think anything else on the report system works less the chat ban option.

What they didn't want though is a playerbase that is this immature, annoying and rude. FF, physics, automated reporting system and everything would be perfectly fine and nice game mechanics if there wasn't people playing this game who would abuse them.

You get the wallys in this and all games.  It's never happened to me personally but there have been time that I've been quite thankful for a good allied arty in game.

As previously stated- report them

What what

I have 50k + battles and have been deliberately pushed 3 times.  I have been accidentally pushed lots of times and over-reacted to it.  I have also accidentally pushed and blocked people myself.  knowing I can cockup and would not want harsh punishment for such.  Are you prepared to receive a harsh punishment for a mistake OP?

What does that have to do with anything? You asked for proof that WG doesn't want certain type players in the game.

Consider bottling that negativity bit better, it's spilling to places where it's not needed.

I don't really know why the map design allows for drowning at all. The number of times someone does it to an enemy must be several orders of magnitude lower than the number of accidental and deliberate suicides.

I'm grinding french TD line and playing Renault UE 57 right now, which is btw one of the tiniest tank in the game, not even 3 tonnes weight and man, I have never witnessed so much abuse from teammates just because they can.

Pushing, throwing off the cliff, shooting, various manifestation of flagrant physics abuse occurs in every 1 out of 4-5 battles. It's crazy.

So when it's clear that kid is doing this on a purpose, I just don't bother with in-game report and i'm sending the replay to player support. From time to time, they are actually banning these people for some days.

WG should just keep the option to turn blue if you shoot/ram your teammate twice, even that teamdamage no longer exists.

To be fair water adds few elements:

  1. Decreased speed. Making it more risky to go thru one
  2. On some maps it divides coridors where passing one in order to get a side shot in to enemy is a risk both in slow speed and drowning if you are not quick.
  3. It can be used to mitigate arty attack. I myself used water to at least remove the stun aspect from arty attacks. As the shell just explodes and does no stun.
  4. It makes certain corridors claustrophobic (the coridor on Abbey). Otherwise alternative would be to make invisible walls and listen to players complain how stupid it is that they cant crest that ridge.

So issuing chat bans for raging and insulting, or game bans for physics abuse means that they definitely want players who do those things in the game. Yes, makes perfect sense, I see now how wrong I was:facepalm:

Sure, I'm not saying remove water. But you would achieve almost all of that anyway even if you removed the bit where you actually drown.

You're still drifting off topic though and the anti-WG attitude is spilling everywhere... Do you really think that they want people who break the rules in the game? Do you honestly think that?
