This is like having a football stadium charging €100 a seat and getting 1k people in or €20 and a full house.

They are selling them to make money, and keeping high prices won't make much of that.

Both of those existed.

Not in the way they run and perform in the game

Looks ugly imo. But this is absolutely the best direction WG should be going. I'd rather see cool and unique skins in game rather than loads more OP premiums.

cash grab, I personally think a fair price is half or third of what they are asking for a few items slapped on. I bought mine because I don't expect them to sell many, so it will  be rarer than a gold black market tank

Too cheap will ruin the "uncommon" effect, a bit like the obj 140 or the 430u which 3d camos almost everyone has. Especially impressive in CW battles ;)

Then run the standard one and be more "rare". But, I'm all for them selling 3D skins. Though the first BM did show, not many are keen on paying 3500 gold for one either on its own. I'm genuinely curious on how many Lowe skins they did sell. As I've only seen one with it on.

I disagree. It is their prerogative to ask whatever price they want. You are not forced to purchase.

As with the lootboxes. Fully agree with this stance.

@Ontopic: I don't think 10 euro is expensive but these skins, for me, are quite useless.

It's far from the worst price vs the Lowe. But I still don't feel it's fully worth it. I'm sure many do tbh.

Tho it's not the worst cash grab. The "matchday" event for more token is so far. 3 more bets if you buy 5500 gold. Pr week.

skins are for me a welcome addidtion shame at £8 plus I'll never be buying any of them. £5 max I'd probably buy a few but more than that lol no chance.

Releasing styles is infinitely better then churning out new broken/OP premiums every 2 months actually, so yes, please go down this route!

Sure, but pricing it like this isn´t going to help. No one will pay 10 euro for a tech tree skin. Played something like 100 battles in the last 2 days and I have yet to see even one IS-3 with that skin. This is just pure WG greed.

I can´t stand skins after I received three tier-10 skins that I have no use for in the Christmas loot boxes. I bought 36 boxes and was probably the only person on the planet who did not receive my money´s worth, probably because the skins are overvalued.

Well if WG could have added exp and credit multipliers to these regular tech tree tank skins, making them semi premiums in earnings for example, then IMO skins would certainly have an better value for their price WG has given them currently.

Tanks having (multiple) custom skins would open up a new monetization path for them. One that is more healthy for the game as a whole IMO then premium content that is given borderline high performance to drive it's sale of player engagement (for marathons).

I don't think they have any idea on how to price these and are just trying out things - but It's probably safer to start with 15€ and drop price per skin until the sales settle where they're content with. If you sell them for too cheap, it's really hard to raise the price for next one without major backlash.

Just don't buy one now, next ones will start going at 6.99, and then the next ones at 4.99 - at that point I guess they would get actual sales.

I 100% agree. They just need to finetune the pricing a bit more. As it's a tech tree tank you play now and then. Not a premium. Once the price is right for most, it will sell well enough for WG to profit of it easier. As you did see with the BM the last time. The 3500 gold tier X skins did not fly off the shelf for that price.

Saw this idea on the WoT subreddit. Make cool skins of tech tree tanks which converts them to premium tanks when applied. It would justify a decent price and WG could implement future premium tanks into the tech tree as normal tanks and make a limited skin for the release of said tank that turns it into a premium.

WG could be greedy about it too by making every tank have 5 unique skins that each add 10% additional credits/xp, so if you have all 5 it means it's equivalent to a premium tank. Or some variation of that where you have to 'collect' the skins.
