Guy rams into me in my tvp and im thinking: what a dumbo, im gonna unload in his cupola on his turret

SIKE

Even though its tiny its not even a weakspot, literally didnt pen a single shot. In model viewer its apparently 290+ thick. Great design guys! Just drive into people and they suddenly can't do anything anymore.

Well it’s pretty much the only redeeming aspect of that tank

You can shoot at his hull's deck, its 30mm so you can overmatch it.

Apart from it being Russian of course.

All the other mediums' cupolas are easily penetrable when hit...the 430U's are just bait.

You'll have to go for hull roof when 430U tries to facehug you, it's a lot easier to hit than cupolas assuming of course your tank has enough gun depression.

That's why its used so much in CW and ranked etc. and has well under average winratio from all of the t10 meds.

If TVP is OP, then most tanks in the game are OP.

Ah, so you found out the hard way on how OP the 430U is.

Back when it first released, I had to learn it the hard way as well.

TVP is op and the only thing good about the 430U is its cupola. Just Sunday things.

It's funny really, you have a higher chance of penetrating its frontal upper hull armor than the hatches on the turret. Absolute memes.

Well. Turret armour in general.

Compare 430U, To a 113, As they have pretty much the same playstyle.

430U has better turret armour, (113 Turret isn't bad though) 113 Has a much better gun, More HP, More gun dep over the sides, better hull armour, (more or less same effective frontally, But 113 has better sides) 113 Also has a 40mm Hull roof, instead of 30mm on the 430, So, if a 113 face hugs a tank with a 120mm Gun, It will auto bounce, Where as it will auto pen the 430U. And too top it all off, 113 has higher DPM. Although, i do admit, 430U Has way better terrain resistances. But that hardly makes it better than the 113.

So, Only reason to really pick a 430U, is for the better turret armour. And tbh, the 140 Is better than the 430U over all, but thats a whole different comparison as they are completely different playstyles.

430U Isn't bad, But far from OP. The community has a bad habit of over hyping tanks, and making them out to be more then they actually are, 430U, Defender are the biggest culprits.

Apparently the 430U is a heavy tank? You're comparing it to a heavy tank, unless you mean the 121? :D

Well, here's a direct stat comparison anyway:

Warning - huge image:

430U has better gun handling (aimtime, dispersion while moving).

It also has better ground resistance, so it's more mobile and accelerates faster.

Its frontal hull armor is thicker than both the 121 and 131.

Gun handling, mobility, armor. Those are the key features defining an OP tank.

General dispersion (max accuracy) means nothing when it has the gun handling to maintain that accuracy, rather than having to aim, so it can snapshot and retreat faster than the other two can reliably line up a shot at it.
