So with Pearl river coming back, And looking visually stunning, That got me thinking. Which of the old removed maps, Would look best, On the new graphics.

I personally thing dragons ridge would be the best looking out of the old ones. With Hidden village close behind.

Which do you think would? I'd make this a poll but i can't remember all the old maps :teethhappy:

Oh damn i forgot we used to have winter versions of himmels and ruinberg. Wasn't there also a Ruinberg on fire? That'd look absolutely amazing nowadays

None !

The new WG map designers are so bad and lazy that they use the same template for every new map and for every old to new map.

They make the older maps more flat in topography, they remove most of the bushes and trees from the map that before looked more random and add them only at the cap for TD to camp in, the mid is empty with no cover and they add some stupid corridors on the sides.

I see they do this to all of the new maps and to the old good maps they destroy with the same tactic. If you look carefully on Pear river you will see that they did this again.

yup!

I hope wg considers bringing map variations like these back since they can look so good with the upgraded enCore engine.

I don't understand why they removed them in the first place.

It can't be that hard to 'class' them as the same, So you can't get ruinberg, then winterberg, and after that ruinberg on fire.

Or just remove regular ruinberg and keep the one with more eye candy.

I really loved Hidden Village but then again I like Japanese landscapes.

Fiery Salient had very nice dramatic lighting.

Is it just me or does Hidden Village look like Empires Border...

Same clogged us fighting space, same slight flanking positions...

,,,might just be me.

And that map was removed because it was too limited where you could go and was kinda boring as hell...

On top of the subject, considering graphics, Dragons ridge would look quite lovely, maybe even South Coast.

Dragon Ridge above all. To me it's one of the best maps they ever made when it comes to looks.

Look best? Well hated maps aside. I suspect North West or even Dragon Ridge would look great indeed in the new engine. As Pearl river did indeed look amazing.
