Hi All, never been in a Clan or played in a platoon so I'm wondering about it.

I work away from home for weeks at a time with no internet so I can't play on a regular basis.

Would it be worth joining a Clan and what are the benefits for me ?

I play for fun but want to improve my gameplay.

Thanks for any suggestions including the obligatory get good noob !

Shouldn't this be in the general discussion on the clan section of the forums?

Read carefully what the clan wants. A clan that wants you every day during the event to do Global Maps is not for you. A Skirmish clan might be if they don't have a required number of days to play per week. From what I see, everyone one says they want to improve their game, and from that one or two in the clan might actually try to practice. Watch training videos in You Tube then at least if someone says echelon right you know the formation is a / and left is a \ and a line is a --- not a -__-

I don't see that section.  The clans section is under competitive gaming and it doesn't sound like that is what the OP wants.  So IMO no.

I saw the topic as a discussion of the relative merits of joining a clan for fun and improvement.

Joining a clan such as the Dingers (other fun clans are available) would suit the OP perfectly.

A group of people that likely speak the same language as you, some of whom may share your particular play style / humour, you can learn from  / give advice to.

Some clans run training sessions or activate clan wide boosters you also get a set of camo for being in a clan.  It's generally more beneficial to be in a clan than run solo.

For the sake of your 'sole' and humanity, don't - it's a trap! They're all doppelgangers, hell bent on some kind of invasion.

Back on topic - I have platooned less than 100 games (I think) in total and probably less than 50, antisocial little git that I am.  It's hardcore 'billy no mates' mode.

Be aware clans can take the game and life far too seriously and being barked at with instructions from what sounds like a 14 year old isn't much fun.

Choose wisely and don't feel any loyalty - dump them as soon as they get annoying.
