I went on calculating how much GOLD per 1EUR you get when duble buying the tank you already have with 30% discount coupon:

tier2 Lightank T2 750G, price 3,12 EUR ....nets 240G/1 EUR / with equation 239 G

tier3 T15              900G, price 3,54 EUR.....nets 254G/1EUR / with equation 258 G

.....

tier8 Mutz 58      8700G, price 22,72 EUR....nets 383G/1EUR / with equation 384 G

After a chart was made aprox of  nature logaritmic  became clear,  but modifications had to be made,...so final iteration of equation that gives quite good results (+- 1-4 EUR per 1 EUR).

So here is a quick way to calculate a net worth of Gold you will get for your money using gold value of tank:

ENJOY:

ln(GOLD PRICE - 475) x 42,6 = GOLD per 1 EUR

For reference: when buying a tank with cash you also get a garage slot which WG equals as 300 gold. That's one major reason why higher-value tanks provide better yields because esp. with low tiers the garage slot makes up like 20-30% of the package value.

think you get less gold from discounted packages if you already have the tank, equal to the discount percentage.

If the package itself is discounted and only includes the tank and minor addons, yes. If you use a coupon or buy a larger bundle, no. Unfortunately WG doesn't disclose that before buying.
