Ok. Happened a lot of times, tried switching server, didn't work. I'll just leave it there then. Thanks.

if it's just WOT then perhaps the issue is your mods ?  I've not had any connection issues or lags with the game tonite

I would have wasted three 300% 2h boosters and been pretty frustrated if not for the fact I am back to work tomorrow after a wasted few days doing nothing much.

update 1.8

Downtime

World of Tanks servers will be down on 4 March from 02:30 to 08:30 CEST (UTC +2).

We really need this stuff as a pop up in garage

Yes, a system stating servers will be down within the garage would be awsome, hell even small games like WF can tell you in game when DEV streams are up and to restart for patches.

Lol 36k games and you still don't bother to read stuff about updates.

You just carry on ignoring stuff, I'm sure one day someone will wipe your arse for you, and even dab a bit of talc on for you.

Quite a few people had mentioned 4th March over the last couple of weeks so it wasn't exactly a secret.

But yes an announcement in garage is something we could have done with ten years ago.

I downloaded that 1.8 update before I started playing the game yesterday so I don't think it was that. Also, first 5-8 battles were fine without much issues and then it started. There was no windows updates or other software updating nor any other windows opens. Tried switching servers, re-starting the game, nothing worked sadly and worse yet, it work enough to log-in, select battle, play fine for a few seconds and the that classic R2D2 turret head shake thingy with the tracks and wheels of the tank still turning though the tank was locked in place and everything completely unresponsive before being greeted with a "connection to server lost" or something like that.

Hopefully that's the end of it, I'll check later. Really annoying though especially on tanks I hadn't marked yet but whatever, if I got there once I'll get there again and just a game anyway. Still, I'm glad I wasn't paying for premium time, that would have been genuinely annoying.
