The new system completely sucks.

After 1 hour. I am done. What's the reason to play? Where is gone the fun of getting surprises like crew books, camo nets, binocs every now and then ?

Totally gone. The daily mission reward are litterally 1% of what you would get with rewards for merit, considering i got zero BP and probably will rarely get any with the new system.

You could easily get 10+ directives per day with Reward for Merit. And the fact you didn't know when and why you got it was actually pretty fun!!

Ok i guess its good for my free time. A big reason not play so much anymore.

I agree. Got 5 blueprints but all of them for tanks I couldn't care less about. These daily missions are made to keep me in the game everyday but I'm not going to fall for this. One last tank that I'm grinding and I'm done Wargaming. Zero money and no more grinds.

I played 6 battles and i feel like there is not point to play any single more of them today

I got daily rewards all together like one small reward for merit, which is a joke

Not feeling point to play more battles, because i know i wont get anything extra anymore for playing today

WG. Is this what you planned? Make people play 6 games a day instead of 30 because they already know they wont get anything more this day so there is no point of joining battle?

I got blueprints and prefer this to the random drops we had before.  At least there is some merit behind these.

REEEEEEE, i am getting less free stuff then before! FFS *edited*, back in the days we had NO

- rewards for merit/daily mission

- personal missions for free tanks\

- crew books

- directives

- bond equipment

- personal reserves.

- Newbe missions with free tier VI tank

These days it is so much easier to grind your way up a tech tree, improve your crew etc and somehow you still :child:.

But is the new system really worse?

At least it seems clearer, what's gonna drop and when.

I will not miss the Reward for Merit! Never understood why WG would toss out loads of stuff for nothing. It was more fun when you had a series of missions and in the end you could get some piece of equipment.

i got 100 bonds from the first set of missions today including from the premium account. WG got rid of the random drops because there was way too many BP'S dropping. At christmas i had so many blueprints i unlocked 5 tier 10 tanks without playing a single battle in the previous tier 9's.  They had to do it to save thier bread and butter, gold to free xp.

Fact: new daily missions are worse that rewards for merit in any possible way.

Yeah we know it was worse back in the days, and it was worse back in the day because the player experience globally improved across patches. (funny thing is I've been playing for longer than you)

This is a clear step back.

1) Rerolling missions every 4 hour is pointless since it basically means not playing for 4 hours or else you'll probably accidentally complete a mission you didn't want to, so in the end they're not providing agency.

2) RfM were linear with play time, regardless of your schedule: you could play 12 hours in one day or 12 hours over a week and get the same thing. Now the person that plays 12 hours in one day is royally screwed.

3) Daily rewards uses FOMO to force daily player engagement and this is a shady design choices. A weekly time frame is way better a letting players organize their schedule as they see fit (the credit reserve from premium account is weekly and this is good).

The whole system seems to have been engineered to provide predictability and player agency.
The agency is worse than before (you have constraints on how to schedule your playtime over a week you didn't have before), predictability doesn't really bring anything interesting because the rewards are modest enough that you don't really need to chase them and you get overall way less rewards unless you're not playing a lot.

My verdict: failure on every aspect.

the new missions are good as i know what to do but they are not endlessly repeatable.

it was always nice when you have the whole day to play tanks you go and get some Premium time, buy some boosters and start playing and on top of that you get rewards of merit from time to time, my current record is something like 13 rewards in session.

what we need now is the 3 missons to reset once you complete them all.

i will keep playing my long sessions but the surprise of random rewards is not there anymore :(

So they changes something that will make some "players" play this game less, because they mostly played to get rewards….??

Do not care, adding stuff to speed up grinds was one of the worst things that happened in wot.

Playing tier X battles with somebody that has 3 tier tanks in 2k battles...lovely experience, like getting my teeth pulled up through my anus...

And they say they "play for fun", that joke is just getting better and better.

Gold to free exp isn't exactly threatened by blueprints: the main appeal to free exp is to avoid playing tanks in stock configuration.

But this isn't important anyway, with blueprints, reserves and many other things, Wargaming has shifted from an experience grind model to a credit grind model, to promote the premium account.

In this model, allowing players to unlock more tanks and to progress more rapidly to tier X isn't bad as it incurs more credit expenses for the players.
