Not for credits, though...

Can't really tell if it's better or worse than the regular ISU-152, aside from the penetration stats. Looks balanced to me tbh.

Ya I can't tell either but recently 3 marked the ISU-152 and found it wasn't really all that competitive tbh and heavily restricted by it's failings or "balancing" factors. Thing is though, I find that when you start moving these big alpha guns up tiers it starts to dramatically lose it's charm and effectiveness even though the tank platforms and gun handling start to become better and less encumbered.

When you slap somebody with that level of alpha at tier7 it's hilarious but as that gun goes up onto a higher tier tank, the enemy tanks get tougher, more hp and more armor as you start moving up tiers and of course, they start hitting back with bigger alpha too along with other tanks featuring that same alpha you have so, would this gun which is featured on a tier6 KV-2 still be as fun and meme at tier8 where it will be chucking pretty much the same sort of HE shells at T10 tanks? I'm not so sure. I'm guessing yes, but not as often and not on the same devastation level.

Spoiler

That hull traverse speed looks godawful though.

Well hope it's better than what the BL10 used to be when fitted to the ISU. It was known as the Troll cannon because often it would troll you with the amount of misses....

I like the Looks of that.

It's not a KV-2 ® kinda derp, but a derp nevertheless.

No problem with BL-10 balance wise, as long as you pay.

Couldn't make this s*** up.

It was uncalled for when they removed the BL-10, and now they want to reintroduce it as a premium/reward version of the vehicle?

Why can't the tech tree tanks have nice things..

Besides the pen ofc. It even seems worse than when the tech tree ISU had it. Worse reload, worse dispersion, worse aim time, worse DPM. Top that off with a weaker engine etc. I doubt it will be as good as most recall in some aspects... on paper that is.

You gotta be kidding me, right?

They nerf the original standard ISU by replacing the BL-10 with some gun with less penetration, only to bring the BL-10 back now, but on a "new" premium tank?!?

Don't buy it. Don't support this act of madness.

Finally, 750 alpha on a Tier 8 premium.

Not sure how this is going to be picked over SU-130PM tbh.

Ok the huge alpha and crazy pen definitely help, but the platform the gun is strapped to is even worse than the standard ISU (overall worse mobility, aim time and accuracy mostly the same, etc.), and the techtree ISU doesn't seem to be a popular tank in randoms (in fact, I have not seen one in ages).

Guess we'll see if the extra pen makes it competitive or not.

Also, I agree with NekoPuffer. SU-101 got its 122mm gun back without issues, yet with ISU we get this. Hmm. :sceptic:

Lol... since when penetration was a bad thing? This tank represents what skilled players want - will penetrate everything frontally... and the tank behind it... ( and then the wall.... and the red line at the end of the map.... if you use magic '2';)

Imho, In most cases there will be no differences noticed in terms of penetration, when facing it. But other then pen, this TD is not as goot as isu-152.

"Skilled" players run full gold or at least spam the 2-key, so low base pen is not an issue for most of them.

WIth the 152K they'll just fire APCR because better pen but also better shell velocity.

Technically you have 780 alpha with the 703.

Yeah, mines two marked. The ISU's accuracy can get pretty horrible at times. 704 is actually a touch better tier for tier imo. Though the 268 is a big disappointment, even when playing on the CT with a max setup it just isn't really good or fun to play.

I really enjoyed the ISU, but slow tanks really struggle with the fast games and unbalanced teams. On a 'normal' match its fun, in a 15-2 steamroll its basically crawling along for 3 minutes with no chance to shoot anything...

WG must be joking. Just give the BL-10 back to standard ISU-152. You removed it for no good reason and now want to bring it back on a premium version that is straight better than the tech tree counterpart? Shame on you, devs.

since when is 260 base pen considered low

260 is already higher side of t8 TD, only things like chario/kanpz105 (268 apcr pen, so on angled armor about same pen as isu due to normalisation), wz1111111fgt (271 ap pen) and udes/s1 (288 apcr pen, which is highest). and surprisingly all of them have (way) lower alpha. 260 pen for 750 alpha is fine as it is

"straight up better"

so far stats look;

it has quite worse reverse speed, which will be absolute pain to deal with (8 instead of 12)

lower dpm (19s rld instead of 17.6s)
less gun dep (5 instead of 6)

less mobility, unless terrain resist is massively better which i somewhat doubt (600hp engine/12.7hp.t/22deg traverse instead of 700hp engine/14.23hp.t/21deg)

only upgrade is 10 more view range, and 26 more pen, which is somewhat overkill for most targets anyway
