How is the UDES 15/16 in the current game state? I want to start grinding up towards a "traditional" T10 medium and seeing the top of the tree bonuses for the kranvagn (which shares up to T7 with the UDES) I figured the UDES might be a viable choice.

How does it compare to for example the M48 patton, Centurion AX, STB-1 etc.?

The base pen of 254 seems quite poor, and I guess this tank needs to rely on HEAT rounds from time to time. Seeing the ammo re-balance, might this result in the UDES being weaker?

It´s a solid tank. You can compare it to Stb-1 whit better armoring, less dpm and more alpha.

The hull itself isn´t that great (lack of armoring against artys and get´s often set on fire).

Gun performs well for its accuracy values (duo to good soft stats).

I would say in the current meta it´s definitely worth it.

Unlike its tier 9 little brother, it is pretty solid.

I tried it on test server and it is amazing. DPM and depression are great. Armor though is not invincible, but it works most of the time. You will get penned if someone highrolls on 330mm of heat or hits a weakspot on turret.

It's a pretty comfortable tank to play.

Are there better Meds? Yes but this thing holds its own against allot of other single shot tanks. I like mine allot... I should play it more.

I don't have it but I was able to play it during Team Clash event.

It's a really nice vehicle.

Quite decent gun, fair mobility and armour is trollish enough to block damage.

I highly recommend to get this one.

It's quite similar play style to STB-1, but it's with more armor, higher alpha and less DPM. Of course it has the same issue as STB-1 which is it gets deleted by arties.

Overall I'd say it is a very good medium for randoms which heavily rewards good positioning, I would definitely recommend it.

That's only against TDs gold shells. Udes turret can deal with heavies and mediums fairly reliably. That doesn't make udes better hull down than 430U but it does make it a lot more flexible.

340 heat is more than enough to pen its turret reliably, at least thats what happens most of the time to me, while playing udes 15/16. tanks.gg doesnt have the armor model, but we have in-game mods for that.

I consider it more of a luck to bounce heat, than being reliable.

Except you won't be fighting udes on flat ground very often. Even with slight additional sloping armor becomes very tough, that being said cupola is still a weak spot, but of course it gets harder to hit.

well its not made out of toilet paper, but unless you are above your enemies, i tend not to rely on turret armor of udes.

p.s. angles in screenshots are not really - flat ground position, because udes is flat as a pancake, its more like slightly above enemy tank.
