Hey, so I'm thinking about participating in Ranked Battles this year. Last year I wasn't able because all I had was Pz.VII but this year I have Progetto 65 (100 battles/ 2100 avg dpg), EBR 105 (800 battles/1200 avg dpg) and Obj.430U (320 battles/ 1850 avg dpg). I really like the camos and I would love to get one of them. I know I'm not good enough to get into Gold league but I think I could try my luck to get into Bronze or maybe even Silver. Is it very hard to get into Bronze/Silver or 1500-1800wn8 will not be enough? How big chance do you think I have?

Last year I managed to reach second division rank 12 out of 15, mainly because I didn't have enough tanks, and it was my first time participating in RBs (you can check my stats).

My point is, you'll probably manage to reach division one because you have good tanks, but bronze/silver league? No idea.

With those stats and experience I'd say the chance for you is really really small to make it through. It requires a massive amount of battles too for the non top skilled players.

Depends entirely on how well you do. Give it a go and see how you get on then you can decide for yourself if it's something you want to continue or not.

Progetto 65 is a very good tank in ranked because it's very flexible. Well, except it has no armor but it's mobile, has gun depression and burst damage and the gun actually hits enemies.

430U is also decent, but you can often forget about having armor against tier 10 premium ammo. You really need to be careful not to over extend.

I played mainly T100 LT during last ranked season(?), it worked out pretty well.

What tank do you enjoy the most? Try that.

Last season I played with regular ammo, no food, no gold spam. And I managed to progress.

No need to spam gold, if you're a good player, ammunition won't make a difference.

I played with Kranvagn with 252 APCR, and as all know APCR can bounce easily from angled armours, but still, I progressed. :D

I made 10-40k profits per game in ranked game mode - T100 LT has pretty much useless premium rounds anyway.

Playing it - Easy

Coping with it - Hard

It is literally the most selfish and unrewarding game mode in terms of gameplay.

Basicly anyone can get into the leagues, perhaps not gold, but bronze, if you just play alot and atleast have some basic understanding about tier 10. Especially now with the safe ranks, more shielded ranks and so on. How many games it take for you i dont think anyone can answer.

Nevermind, just played 20 battles and it's everything what's worst on regular battles just 4 times worse.

It's so bad I'm just laughing while playing xD Good job Wargaming :teethhappy:

...except those stats aren't his main account's. He doesn't have a tier X on this one.

Wonder why he's not posting with his main... :sceptic:

RB...

I know why I gave the previous editions a pass. Presumably good players are playing so poorly that it hurts the eyes. Basically, it is all about letting somebody else get hit. The fact that actually winning games is a good plan seems to be lost on many.

Finish de first 20 battles and got to rank 4 on the Bronze league. I hope it will be a fast grind so I willl have enough time to deal with the Silver league. All I want is the next 3 tokens so I can  get the tank reward.

PS: So many Fv/T95 it's not even funny anymore. Too bad I suck in mine...

Finished the 20 battles and entered the third division, rank 3 currently, I'll continue tomorrow, too many gold spam for today's session. :P

Not bronze league, it's like this:

  1. Qualification (20 battles)
  2. Third division (shield mark with three lines)
  3. Second division (Shield with two lines)
  4. First division (shield with one line)
  5. Then after finishing the first division, you'll enter the league (your rank will be announced after ranked season finishes).

And yes, a lot of Chieftains around, ruining the fun, but what can you do. :)

Well, if this is your main account you're pretty inexperienced as a player which might hold you back a little bit when it comes to extracting the most out of each map. Think of RB as the separate meta that it is and play to it. Each tank falls into its own niche with different bonus xp attributed to it so don't think in terms of raw damage dealing. For example, I completed a few leagues or whatever they're called during the last RB with nothing but a 430U. That tank had bonus xp for blocking shots and so even though I didn't always deal large amounts of damage or bag lots of kills, if I took a beating like a boss and bounced or blocked lots of damage then I often finished in the top 2 or 3 regardless.

I wouldn't have said that RB was difficult though. Tbh, I really enjoyed it and the players seemed to have some experience which was just a better gaming experience when compared to the frustration of the typical clueless Bobs in randoms. The only downside I would have said about it was the toxic clickers. Sadly, WG decided to add the class with the least skill in the game to a meta that was supposed to be all about skill and to reward those with the most skill, LOGIC. So in true WG fail efforts, sadly those using the least skilled class easily clicked their way into the top 3 on both teams pretty regularly if I remember correctly with their full premium ammo bombs taking large chunks out of everything it landed near too. Otherwise, RB was rather enjoyable.

I'd probably recommend to wait a few days until all the gunslingers have qualified and are gone off into the higher leagues and at that stage you will get normal everyday players with experience instead of facing teams full of the Ronaldo's of WoT. Gold spamming? Some will, I guess it depends on the tanks bonus xp parameters, if it's all about damage dealing, then probably that player will use a lot of gold. There's a lot of stronk armored tanks in this T10 meta(like the 430U lol) so even with gold spamming there's no guarantee's and I tend to just use it occasionally wherever my tanks drab standard pen walks a fine line with the armor value of what it's expected to pen, otherwise I didn't generally use much gold tbh but it's each to their own so if you want to use it then use it but it's often needless and I prefer to just roll with the punches if it's a bad round and not get drawn into some chevron preservation at any cost. A player will get there eventually if they're good enough, just like marking a tank, so there's no need to spam gold and blow credits in a big way.
