On the minimap, when pressing alt, I used to have a small yellow/gold coloured square, that you could hover over a tank that was previously spotted, but had gone unspotted. I loved this feature, but it is gone, trouble is, I dont know if it was a mod, or a game setting, does anyone know what this marker is? and if so how to get it back?

I'm not familiar with that mod.  Did it give you any information when you placed the square over the tank's last location?

Last known position is shown on the mini map by default?

All it was as best as I can explain, was a small square which seemed to be in place of the normal cursor, which, when you press alt (I have my settings that way) and get all the minimap markers, including the previously spotted tanks, you could line it up over the red spot of the tank which was now unspotted, fire, and if they hadn't moved, whacko! Sometimes I am not very good at explaining things.

Yes, I have mine on the alt, as I find it too busy to have it on all the while, and the cursor only appeared when looking with alt pressed. I aint got a clue where it came from!

Is it in the general settings "enable expanded minimap features"?

It is not part of the vanilla game, so it had to be either XVM (isn't in the current configs), or was another mini map mod.  How long ago did you have it? If it was a long time ago, I can imagine that it was something like Locostan's Mini Map, which is not around in its original form any longer.  Locostan's is still out there, but it isn't by Locostan, some Russian people took it over from what I remember.  It isn't in any of the big modpacks as far as I can tell...which should tell you something....

I lost it with the 1.8 update, then briefly got it back, then had to reload my mods a million times due to mistakes and mini pathes etc, so very recently, if you can imagine having a bright cursor on the minimap to place over the unspotted tank, it's a great feature, ah well, maybe I will get it back, if I do, I will update!

OK, I found the marker again, its in a mod on aslains pack called minimap with td and spotting or something like!

Here is what the cursor looks like:

Only problem I have with it now is all the unspotted tanks are visible all the time, and I hate that, it makes the map too cluttered, and they are in a pale purple/pink, not red, so easy to distinguish at least.

All that stuff is really useful info though whatever class you are playing you can predict / deduce things from it, turning off last known positions is handicapping yourself

Arty Sights on the mini map by Hawg has the same sights as the one you show in your screenshot.  But it doesn't have the tactical locations that Hawgs Tactical Maps as shown in your screenshot.

For those interested, both mods are available as stand alone mods from the World of Tanks Mod Portal or in Aslains Modpack also on the World of Tanks Mod Portal---which is the only place I get mods.  All mods in portal are approved by War Gaming and are legal to use.

Here is a screenshot of my mini map with the Type 6 Arty Sight from Hawg (in the XVM section of Aslains)

Not me Gruff, all I get is confused, and I am naturally handicapped by having bad eyes, slow reflexes and a lax attitude to weather I win or not, I want a relaxing pastime, not stress!
