For a player of this caliber to have completed the 279e missions?

Luck.

That would be the luckiest 46%er in the history of WoT.  I think perhaps he has a "friend".

No they're not hard, but they require time, tanks and luck. Also good matchups.

There are a lot of potential reasons. But all of them lead to the same answer which has been mentioned before. Why care, as long as you purely focus on the missions and nothing else, everyone can pretty much do it.

Time is the most important element that you'll ever need, the more time you invest, the better rewards you get (i mean missions).

Obviously somebody else grinded out the missions for him.

That would be the logical conclusion.

Rather he requested an account reset. You should check how many games he played last month. If they are more than let's say 100, considering his account creation and number of battles, it's reasonable to presume this.

Then he just did them by power of numbers. Try enough, and the stars will align.

Sheer determination - it is only a matter of pressing battle enough times.
WoT rewards players for failing their way to tier 10; why shouldn't Wargaming reward players for failing their way through Personal Missions?
That is completely within the scope of the ethically corrupt business model of Wargaming.

He has 6k games at 46% win rate.  Be serious.  Only one way he did it and it wasn't luck or persistence.
