I was in a rush to get this very first revolver fited tank just because of the...revolver. As most of us i was shoked at the begining by the match making, by terrible gun elevation and by big gun dispersion on the move. However after some time I found a niche with this tank and game-play is not that frustrating for me anymore. I'm in no rush at the start but wait till enemy positions are disclosed more or less. If there is a breach to the enemy rear i go for arty of course. If not then i look for lonely tank destroyers as they are easier to go behind and for some of them 6 shots in the back is enough to make them burn. Also high tier french heavies are very good target to go for. They get easily penetraded by their smaller friends. Yesterday i went behind enemy lines when they were busy with my bigger friends and uncovered on the back of AMX 50 120. Unloading full revolver in his rear took 40% of his hit points before i was shot by their medium tank. Not that bad right?

wth are you talking about...
WTH I'm talking about is to stop whining and play the tank.
I killed two T-95s last night - last time I checked those were tier9s.
I had 2-3 kills in most matches.

What are you smoking? Go scouting? With 410 m radio range? YOU CAN"T EVEN PASS THE HALF WAY POINT OF THE MAP! Finish off tier 9's? OMG.
Guess what buddy, you don't need better radio range for forward scouting. Smoke that, thanks.
Scouting in front of our heavies (jumping from bush-to-bush, cover-to-cover), keeping the enemy lighted up, detracking tanks in the right moment, paid off nicely.

QUIT WHINING CRYBABIES, PLAY THE TANK.

The fact that you don't know you can't detrack tier 8+ tanks with a 75 mm gun tells us a lot about you. And the fact you don't check people's stats before you start to yell you superiority tells us even more. You really are unde de delusion you can drive your tanks like a pro. The definition is PRO TROLL.

Since I never said I detracked 8+ tanks, nor talked any BS about my superiority and stats, or about driving like a pro, this only tells a lot about your reading, bullsh*tting, and whining skills. ;)

According to the last matchmaking chart from test AMX 12t is not treated as a regular tier 5 light and can be placed in battle tiers 7-10. So it does have easier matchmaking than AMX 13 75.

That said I do think it would be more fitting to have the same matchmaking as tier 5 mediums.

AMX 12t is a FUN and challenging tank.
I love to finish off tier9 tanks with it.
Pretty good camo value, put binocs and camo net on and go scouting.

The only depressing thing is the gun depression.

You are talking about amx 13 90 ? Or about amx 12t ?? Or you are just joking about finishing of T9 .....

3-4 hours of playing with Lowe and t59 + gold + company battle = skipping the grind of amx 12t and going to the  next fail tank - Amx 13 75 :)

Have discovered that you can "side-rub" most T6 mediums with this thing without them being able to hit you. Small grace, but a grace nonetheless.

Ok i think i found a fix for this problem. First of all if they change the MM to tier 7 and down then they dont need to fix anything. Or.. I think this solution is fair.. If they change the tank's specs to match the vk2801/t-50-2. Heres a example i've made.

Amx 12t

510 Hit Points
390 Engine Power
66 Speed Limit
42 Traverse Speed
Same Shell Dmg
Same Shell Penetration
Same ROF
Same Turret Traverse
View Range 420
Signal Range 680

These stats look more like a scout to me. But this is just an example they can be changed.

Pathetic gun, turret elevation and engine that breaks when someone takes a wrong look at would be acceptable IF this piece of junk had better acceleration and turning circle. Unfortunately, by the time WG gathers enough performance data to give it a much needed boost (or reduced MM spread)I'll have had bought another gold package and skipped this pathetic excuse for a tank with free xp. At least their business model works  :Smile_harp:

It seems the engine is easy to destroy. Happens to me in 2 out of 4 games now. Anyway a funny tank, will keep on testing :)

Despite what I wrote earlier about AMX12t i must say, that after few games I find AMX12t quite enjoyable - ok, it can't take other tanks head on. It must fight on flat surface. Avoid getting shot. :Smile-hiding: my main tactic is quite simple - engage targets which are too busy fighting other tanks. Hide. Wait. Shoot them in the ass or side. Quite similar to E8.

I have gone through 12t. It have its flaws, but the biggest one was utter lack of accuracy of French copy/pasta of German 75mm L/48. No armour, modest agility and NO vertical gun (turret) movement, these are passable. But gun? Please

But, for 12t grinders - there is treat in the end. Though it need gun and tracks upgrade worth of 10k free exp. But it pays more than enough. Tank itself - matchmaking seems to be no worse than in 12t while top gun is more than capable of pissing of things but THIS

makes win tank even more win.

THis tank rocks, with the top gun and good crew. When the enemy shots another tank, you can go to her ass and rape :) Need a special style, but very, very fun. Sniper crybabys will dont like, but this tank and the entire line is awsome. 108mm pen is enough for hit every tier8 heavys from side or ass.
Dont cry, learn to play

this is quite nice because when in the past(with other nations) u would get behind and enemy or flank it u would just fire once before he would turn at u and obliterate u, with revolver u can do a lot of damage before reaction and that is the best of the tank. u just need right timing but most of it worthy teamates with armor (panthers/db are good parteners) to take the damage while u get his back

Meriv is right...but this is very situational. But you can get lots of credits and xp and also much fun when flanking tier8 tanks and shooting the whole magazine in their back. Scored 10 Hits on IS-4 (or IS-3, cant remember) (rear), killed most of his HP, then died and got 1k exp. Not bad for a light tank that is lowest tier in match.

The biggest problem is, the passiv play of your team when they keep holding a postion and you cant go with the meds and flank enemys and be forced to scout on your own or try to snipe whats rather useless because most of the time i got placed in high tier battles where i am the bottom of the food chain.

And i have the feeling that the acceleration of that tank is not so good, once you stoped it take quite some time to get over the 30 kmh per hour.
Ya and you get quite easy stuck to trees.

I love this tank, took on a t59 at 80% and won! I got top gun on the sixth game too but I just noticed the stats are awful, about 30% wins! Must just be fun because of the speed and killing td's :)

I'm getting 16 kills per battle with my AMX12t and all of them are Mauses. BTW you have a whooping 11 battles on this tank. That makes you a veteran!

Now back to reality - matchmaker makes this tank unbearable. It is basically a smaller Pz III/IV with worse gun depression, armor and no gun elevation. Oh and less HP too.
It has to play against T7/8/9 almost every match. I have never been a top tank and maybe 4-5 times played in a T6 top battle. No other med gets such treatment, and this tank is not really better than T5 meds at anything other than view range.
I've grinded this tank from stock, it got faster, but the gun is still weak as hell,  turning speed is not good, it gets rammed to death by Vk2801 goingt 40km/h and overall is simply too bad for the matches it has to fight in.
