I like the idea of skins, makes the game more interesting but come on WG, make an effort, these skins are lame and look like you spent 10 minutes doing them.  I would not pay 10 pence for one of these let alone £8-50!!

Please respect your customers and make a real effort to produce something genuinely good and worth the money

Good to know. So you buy only 5 of them, no more? :)

Yea I was just thinking they should have gone for €5 instead of €10 for the cheaper skins.

Yes the price is the main problem, if they cost like 5 euro I would consider a few of them. But 15-20 euro - no way José. Way too much, then I could buy a tier VI prem instead.

I am pretty sure WG would sell loads of them if they lowered the price and they would make a lot more money by selling a lot more skins. 5 sold for 5euro each makes more profit then 1 sold for 20euro... But maths doesnt seem to be WGs strongest side.

This is where WG should have went a long time ago with monetizing the game, instead of stupid OP tanks.

They found that selling the KV-2R at ten Euro more than a regular tier VI premium worked so they figured that's what a skin was worth.  Can't entirely blame them.

I too once saw something which I did not wish to purchase. How dare people insult me so!

Funny part is that the skin kept me back from getting it, would love a KV-2 premium.

Most people don't even use the skin, they paid the price just for the KV-2 even though it was ten Euro overpriced.

Playerbase "WG, we don't like how you monetise the game, you should sell skins not P2W premium tanks."
WG "Okay, here's some some skins for ~£20"
Playerbase "That's way too much, we'd be happy to pay ~£15"
WG "Okay, here's some for ~£15"

It's almost like the playerbase are entitled, whiney, children who will never be pleased.
Why would WG listen to us?...

I think WG might have used the price of skins to claim their lootbox sale wasn´t gambling. I bought about 40 lootboxes and I certainly did not receive their worth in gold or premium tanks. I did get three tier-10 skins however which I will probably never use and can´t sell. If each of them costs some silly amount of money then they can claim people got their worth, otherwise I was pretty much gambling and lost!

As long as the 3d skins do not not offer differerent colour painting which fits to Summer/Winter/Desert terrain  I am not interested at all.

it is not the price guys, its just how bad they are, zero effort made at all

look at the Bat Chat skin, that's great (in my opinion obviously) and I would consider buying that

the War hammer inspired ones I quite liked but decided against, a few more of those, and some from Warhammer 40k might tempt me

not these, they are so lazy

but in an effort to be positive how about?

E25 Black Shadow skin, like on the Shadow Ships in Babylon 5?

A mad max style skin, ultimate salvage look tank, rusty, patched and spewing fumes etc

or simply sell the third party skins you get as mods and share the money with those guys making great offerings?

and if anyone got an idea stick it in this thread, lets inspire WG to make great content?

edit  or a great foliage scheme like from WW2 tanks with the added on tree branches etc you can use if you have a camo net mounted?

Why would WG listen to us?...

But they never dropped the prices so what are you talking about? The cheaper ones are 2D styles and they were always cheaper than 3D skins, especially those for tier 10 tanks.

The issue is that they treat cosmetics as exclusive, time-limited offers instead doing what every f2p game does - just put them in the shop permanently and at low price.

And it's not like tank styles are more difficult to make than skins in MOBA games where characters are actually animated, perform skills, actions and interact with other characters...

Nothing justifies WG's prices for cosmetics and their "exclusivity". This is not an entitlement, we just want fair deals and to not be pressured to purchase because the skins will be gone after few days.

You must be very rich to think that a price equalling a month worth of premium or tier 6-7 premium tank is a fair price for a cosmetic item and we are an entitled children. I have many favourite tanks and I'd like to put nice styles on them but if I had to choose to spend 10€ on a skin or another month of premium (which means staying competitive and playing the game comfortably), then the choice is simple.

But if you want to bend over and take it from WG, then be my guest...
