In this picture we see a beautiful situation - E100, M60 and Chieftain?@? playing behind the arty. Wargaming please increase the Influence of the roles in battle rewards and deductions if you want to make this game much more enjoyable!

p.s. the theme was doubled by mistake please delete the second one!

In that picture I see many possible situations.

That picture only shows us the tank dispositions as at that moment in time. It is obviously a good way into the battle but it tells us nothing about how the battle went. It fails to show if the tanks you mention had been there since the start or if they had to retreat because they were overwhelmed on the hill, or because the enemy pushed through on the other flank so they returned to cover the base. It gives no indication of their health points, if they had fired any shots.

It doesn't even tell us what the score is. It is incomplete information upon which you would like us to draw a conclusion.

You do realise that match is pretty much lost and your team has lost all map control right? These guys most likely made a gradual retreat and are now backed into a corner.

If they were anywhere else, they'd be surrounded by enemies and alone, instead of now surrounded by enemies as a group.

OP you have managed to show one image that means nothing. 99% of the readers know what situation this game was in and how pointless it is to be anywhere else on the map

This. I've seen plenty battles won from that position. Digging hidden tanks out of that spot unless you've got overwhelming numbers and hitpoints to spare can be difficult.

Well, as long as you have multiple angles you are advancing from, someone will pretty much always spot them shooting.

There are also some good bushes and a nice ridge on the left you can use to spot, used it a lot of times in my lights.

The spot is much stronger though then the equivalent spot the other team has, which is a bit wonky in terms of map balance.

Nonsense, the picture clearly shows that the E100, Chieftain and M60 at least had enough ability to look at the minimap and see a total collapse of their team and map control and actually reacted to that instead of dying without any fight at all.

It does not automatically means they (all) played well in whatever lead up to this situation.

Yeah you missed my thought pattern, but then reading back it was easy to miss. I wanted to suggest that they were all, at some point, further up the hill but the enemy clearly won it and therefore they had to retreat to the forest.

2nd point - there is always that :teethhappy:

The result was 8-8 at thi moment think. And more the heavies even didnt try to move forward from the woods from the start of the game. Not the team but the heavy camper bots lost control and the game. Everyone of you know what I mean, you know it very good.

Red team is pushing and your team is being backed into a corner, what's happening in that pic is pretty normal and the green tanks still alive stand a better chance in a defensive position than doing a banzai charge that will lead them nowhere.

Had they been there from the start of the match it would be a different story.

Also, if you think this fake scenario you see is "the biggest problem" you have pretty skewed priorities.

Looks like they are staying in the spot where I usually go when I can't hold the hill. It's a good spot to fall back to, because you can set up an ambush for the enemies coming from the hill. If a team wins the hill, they can easily throw the game away if they just roll down into enemie (cross)fire. It happens a lot.

Like others already commented: it's completely depending on the situation. Players who own a Chieftain are not the kind of players who would camp from the beginning (only good players can get them). You can abuse the turret and gundepression of the Chieftain very well on the hill. Looks like he had a good reason to hide in the forrest.

WG can't do a sh*t about players doing stupid things with their tanks, even if they want to. The most frustrations in this games are caused by ignorant <50% players and there is nothing that WG can do about that.

Killing the enemy artillery (or at least trying to)?
