Hello,
After 500+ battles on my t26e4 SP i found out that the turret above the gun has a serious weakspot. The gun mantlet should be "impenetrable"
but at that point everything even the same and low tier tanks can go through without a problem.I bought it cause i saw your video guide about
the "fantastic" armor at cost of speed but even tier 7 and 8 can pen it.Could they at least fix the bug or even buff the armor a bit cause with all the new tanks it cant compete anymore. It was all the armor that it had,not the speed...

Cant really see the T26E4SP getting any sort of buff.  this is from the Wot Wiki

The turret face of the T26E4 has very good durability to complement the tough frontal hull. This makes it nearly impervious to HE shells from the front, and allows it to hold positions or assault them reasonably well.

The armor, while very tough, is not completely immune to gunfire. The T26E4 has three large weakpoints: the turret cheeks under the "ears" formed by the additional armor welded on, the commander's hatch and the long viewing port on the right side of the hull. Shots entering here will penetrate and deal damage. However, these weakpoints are covered up nicely when hull-down on a reverse slope.

It is not a bug, the hatch has been a weakspot since forever.

If they wanted to buff it they would have done it years ago.

In fact they actually buffed it already by making the hydrolic tubes infront of it count as spaced armour.

You better learn to cope with it.

Pro-tip: don't buy a product because the manufacturer's advertisement says it is great.

It is really really really silly to do that.

SP is perfectly fine. Since the buff the armor is quite trollish and the tank is very competitive. Only real drawback is the lack of speed.

It had a buff to pen that apparently other PMM tanks couldn't just get without WG trying to remove the PMM status and mess with the armor.

Super Pershing is probably better than ever, even mobility is not as bad as it once was, so what if the armor hasn't been updated? A lot of it was, and that made it a much better tank to play with at the end.

Absolutely no, this tank has everything the player need [ good gun , penetration and noobs proof frontal armor ] does not require any buff

I played about 10 games since I came back into the game and it's still good (I'm just less good than when I quit).

And when I quit, the SuperPershing was my best tier 8 tank.

Considering it has SMM, there are a bunch of other tier 8 (premium and not) that should be buffed first (and a couple nerfed).

No, it was buffed in 2018, penetration and mobility buff IIRC.

It was nerfed back in the day because people could not use that spot, and WG needed to make the weak spots "bigger". It can still hold it's own after the last buffs. As in if you play on med range. Brawling has never been the strong side about it if you face someone with half a brain. Be it back in 2012, or 2014 or even now. As those stabilizer coils have always been a weakspot, due to the cupola behind it. The mantle is not "impenetrable". If you face a gun that can get high enough pen on a 25% roll. It will have no issues. There are even tier 9's with 330 HEAT pen that can eat past it.

Tbh... it's fine as is. No need to make more tanks with no weakspots head on that can roll over low tiers. Tier 8 has enough of those as is.

As I recall the nerf was about making the front plate angles historical.

It's had a number of buffs since.

Considering that it's one of only two tier 8 premiums that I have, I wouldn't mind another buff at all. Armor is fine, but tbh penetration is still not that great for such a slow vehicle. It was unplayable with 190 pen, now is ok, but considering other issues from the lack of speed, not so great dpm, to almost non existent side armor, it's not easy tank to play with. It is a beast when you get a match against lower tiers, but it's not happening often. I can't remember when was the last time I saw tier 6 vehicle while playing with SP. It is great for earning credits though, I was sitting on 29 millions before last week - almost all of it earned without premium account with SP and Panther M10.

As Madame Thatcher once said "No, no, no, no, no!"
Tanks need weakspots. Otherwise we will be left with Chryslers.
Had SP since it was a reward and it is as it should be, it even got a buff some time ago.
It used to be even worse.
If U have problems getting shot in the cupola, try going hull down at mid-long range, and keep moving forwards-backwards to make it difficult for the enemy.

Because your cursor is on a different spot. It's also the case with the regular Pershing. In the middle of the mantlet, there is a hole behind it. The SP has an extra plate of armor on top of that.

Nothing wrong with the good ol' Super Pershing. It's just not idiotproof, but then again, that's how tanks should be in this game.

2230 average damage. That is just crazy, I can only do 1600 on average. What am I doing wrong?

I really don't care why this turned into that. 304 mm of armor cannot be considered a weak-spot, not even at 268v4 standards.

SuperPershing always had 3 armor weaknesses: cupola, machine port on the upper-plate and the inability to side-scrape. However, the most annoying part of SP was its mobility, a thing which was fixed a while ago when the vehicle was buffed, resulting in a more than decent premium tank with pref MM.

Best premium tank evermade that is t26e4.
I remember when i first met t26e4 in a battle and i was very impressed how good it was.
Eventually it was possible to get it for free by a marathon and i got it .I really love that tank.Mobility is poor, but if it would be faster it would be totally overpowered.I have made so much credits playing with it.

This is the question I've been asking myself since I returned :P

But we'll get there again. Eventually.
