Grandpa got one during the war. He was a sergeant running a naval gun by the southern coast of Finland, close to the city of Kotka. He traded it for a carton of cigarettes, because he often had to walk alone from the gun to a command post and they had not been issued sidearms. I can't remember if he mentioned why, since that was a long way from the front. Perhaps the possibility of reconnaissance units coming by boat? 

 

I took it apart once to oil it up and it was indeed a bit of a hassle to do. If I recall correctly how it went, all the moving parts are not removed in this video. Also, interestingly those wooden stocks are harder to come by than the gun itself and the stocks are more expensive.
