Alternatively, if you say cheat mods on your client can change server values then show us the replay/video of the light tank firing shells that do 5000 damage with 1000mm of pen or the KV-2 with the 1 second reload and aimtime. They're just server values that a cheat mod can change easily so someone must have done it by now right?

You tempted me Nuke, since there's something I realised I could mess around with a few months back. I didn't go as crazy with the idea, but still..

Spoiler

Literally takes editing 3 Different xmls in the game files. 125k+ DPM With no equipment, crazy innit. Except guess what, the game doesn't use these stupid values because it's server-side. Wow, who coulda thunk? I can even modify stuff like camo and whatnot to display differently in garage, but as soon as you try to play a battle in it it'll be the very same KV-2® as everyone else, with the same old alpha, accuracy and mobility.

Obviously someone is going to probably take this image out of context now and actually assume the stats can be changed (and probably use it as "proof" years from now that it's possible), but these are purely clientside values that will have no effect in-battle on your tank or anyone else's. Funny that, it's almost like a server-side game simply won't accept bogus edited values.

Game client should pickup all mods or cheats and have a scale based on effective value of mod or cheat then deduct the relevant amount of credits and xp from your battle results.

So you want the mods you pay the price for them you run vanilla you get what you earn.

Interesting idea, but I'm not sure how a mod would determine that.

But essentially, cosmetic-only mods would be free to use?

And I mean stuff like crew icons, voicemod, historical tank camos.

Historical Camo

Yes only strategic/combat advantage mods only.

A while back we had someone come here to proclaim how much better the game experience was after the recent patch had broken all the mods/cheats because he'd been playing all day and hadn't seen any of the usual cheaters and aimbots that had previously ruined every game.

One minor problem. The patch had not actually broken any mods.

People see what they want to see.

not being funny but if someone asks "where to buy aimbot?" this is pretty much a give away. then you get people openly admitting it and laughing too. personally I don't use any mod and don't care. its just a bit off putting to buy something from the shop knowing wg don't really care how bad the game has got.

I didn't buy alpine tiger for this reason too. shame really such a fun game ruined by a few highly skilled cheats? who knows maybe one of you guys want to buy an account from someone that played for stats only using aimbot? this happens too

a few mods are knocked out with new updates but are always updated a few days after by the way

Whenever I get a message after battle about me using an aimbot, it's:

1) someone with 48% or below win rate and no idea how to play the game;

2) amazingly usually the simplest shots, and not those blind fired, pre-aimed or silly lucky;

3) any helpful explanation is dismissed because they believe themselves great at the game and since others perform better this can only be due to cheats.

That's such a lame excuse.....under 45% WR after 24K battles and the problem is cheaters? I don't normally mention an individual WR's, but good grief!

Just a question. The definition of an aimbot is having a mod that allows you to lock onto enemy tanks without having to highlight them or locking onto the closest enemy tank you're able to shoot at with just 1 right click. So why give this ability to EBRs?

Hopefully Wg remove it when (if) the EBR's are rebalanced including on the Premium and I do have it, No don't have a problem that the enhanced autoaim gets removed.

 As it shouldn't be there in the first place!

I know there are definitely some cheats out there. But people call it out way too often.

I myself get called a cheater plenty of times, even though I run a vanilla client.

Anyway, better show a replay where it clearly shows that someone is cheating.

I've admitted to and laughed about many things in the past.  My mum having just bought me the Lowe, several hundred times, someone else's mum having just bought me a Type 59.   Press V for victory...... the list goes on.  It's just having a bit of a laugh.

It isn't though.  That was called autoaim+ and it worked a lot better than the WV autoaim lock, but it was not an aimbot.

I've been PM'd after battle many times by players accusing me of using an aimbot (when they're not suggesting I contract something terminal or commenting on my mothers liberal social life). I often freely admit to them that I use an aimbot.

Not because I actually use one, but because they've already shown they're salty as hell at getting outplayed at pixel tanks to the point they felt the need to send an abusive PM and it amuses me to know it'll really grind their gears telling them I was.

And it does. :)

I see a lot of auto repair mod users in battles which is annoying.

Do you? Or do you simply see tracks being repaired quickly?

No, it's a fairly obvious that one, and even part of approved modpacks. It repairs and heals basically instantaneously.

I prefer to have full control over what, where and when to heal and repair.

I have repair bound to a mouse thumb button. I can hit that before I've finished sliding to a halt, no mod needed.

I've always thought that was a mod that was more likely to waste your repair kit on an unneeded repair than anything anyway. Don't see the point.
