If you can handle mediocre penetration, I thoroughly recommend it.

Good overall tank, but it is getting old and it needs a buff ... here are it's problems :

1 - it's an energy tank, it takes time to get up to speed and you have to be careful not to drop that speed. Unlike say the t-44-100

2 - gun mantlet can no longer absorb shots, it needs a slight buff

3 - ammo capacity is low-ish, it followed into the game after T-44-100 which was balanced with low ammo capacity too, the difference is that the latter got massively buffed.

4 - while it has more ammo than say, the Progetto 46, in this tank you will need more ammo types. Progetto 46 can get away with firing full AP, with maybe 2-3 HE rounds. This tank cannot do well with AP due to lackluster pen, so it needs to carry APCR (243mm of pen), and HE. Considering the gun is rather potato launcher with AP (seriously innacurate beyond 300-350m, but it snaps like a boss), you soon run into ammo problems.

That being said, it has good mobility, great vision (dedicated radio operator with good base view range), and gun handling that is above that of the T-44-100 (not by much though).

I have this from marathon so many years ago but never fancy it to be good.

Wg sell tanks with some discount instead, people lost their jobs, many dont work at the moment and you ask 45 euro for the t44 100...

This would be a competitive tank pre 2015 (in its current state). The Super Pershing (after the buffs) is far superior for around the same price/gold (if you need a cheap US prem med).

I remember the marathon back in the day, man it was realy hard to obtain this tank for free.

Tank itself was very fun, but yes in the current state it's underperforming compared to others.

The patriot is a better choice for the american fans. :)

Have spent a big chunk of money on this game over the years .

Have to agree with your comment, I have been furloughed so on 80% wage atm, and with no confidence if this goes on too long that there will be a job to go back to.

About collector gems. Why on 1.9 is a collector bag only for normal tanks why there is no collector bag for this gems if you call them gems?
i kept all those little premium tanks tier 1 2 3 4 and i wold appreciate a bag for them  so that i can sell them and re buy every time i want.
That can be a real treat from WG after 10 years of WoT.

Indeed, the EU WOT team seems blind due to the current financial realities.

This was a marathon tank back in the day.

So Wargaming, please tell me why this is on sale at about the standard price for a tier 8 medium of around £25?

Yet you are ripping people off with the T44 100 at over £38.

Shame on you Wargaming

Well time to learn something for you.

With the T-44-100 you had to earn token through the campaign to get it. WG sold these tokens at too high a price and therefore the tank ended up being too expensive in the end.

This has to be the most untrue and uninspiring advertisement i have read in a long time.

I allready have this mediocre tank from the marathon BTW.

Also have this tank from the marathon before (maybe unpopular opinion, but back then marathons were more fun), though I bought 2 tokens back then because I was afraid I wouldn't get it, but in the end I needed only 1, so money well spent :D

Now, regarding this tank, it's... mediocre. Mobility is average (~14 hp/t), with good terrain resistances (you can get it down to 0.46/0.63/1.24 without any bonds equipment and with a decent chunk of perks). Armor is pretty much non-existant (except for gun mantlet, and even then, it's easy to avoid since the sides are pretty big and they are easily pennable, and even the mantlet itself does not have much armor). Viewrange is good though. Gun itself is underwhelming - like majority of Tier 8 mediums (last I checked, I might be wrong now), it has a low-pen gun (192/243/45), which is absolutely not enough for a tank which sees tiers 9 and 10 - good luck penning Type 4 or Type 5, for example. Accuracy is good enough, and gun damage is standard for this tier. DPM, though, is VERY underwhelming - lowest reload time you can get with this tank is 6.44 (without bonds), which keeps the max DPM at around 2.2k, which leaves wanting more. Even Indien-Pz now has a 250 dmg gun with a 5.94 reload time (same setup for comparison).

I can only recommend the tank if you want to have an american premium medium, or you're a collector. Otherwise, there are way better options to get.

First of all I'm sorry for the people who lost jobs because of the current situation, hope they'll manage and this thing will soon be over.

But most importantly, if somebody lost job he shouldn't be spending any amount of money on the game, doesn't matter discounted or not, there are other priorities than some pixels.

And lastly, if WG would offer those tanks on considerable discount there would be people saying "Greedy WG trying to squeeze the rest of the money fired people have left offering deals which are too good". Whatever they do there will be complaints. Having said that though, T-44-100 seriously is overpriced, judging purely based on cost of other mediums and heavies. It's more expensive than Lowe ffs...

Until ppl actually buy these tanks, at current price, things will not change....doesnt matter that 40-50% of population cannot afford 1 decent tank.....
