Many players will blind shoot bushes that are used by light tanks or TD's. They don't have to be cheats.

they may also just be blind shooting at known/likely camping positions

You know very well for which cases im talking about... for more then 2 different bushes between your position and that of the target . You only see the fisrt bush 5m in front of your position and your teammate next to you keep firing and hitting enemies , becouse he can see his bullets if they disapiar or not in the space

I blind fire at times, and naturally into those spots that (obviously) are places where the enemy would park their tanks due to old habit/map design.
It is quite easy to see, at least at occasion, if you hit or not, depending on if you see the backdrop or not. Specially if using HE.
One does need any mods to accomplish this.

It's actually pretty shocking to me how often people don't blindfire obvious positions. I remember ranting at my platoonmate Chaos once when, staring at a bush where an enemy had been spotted in earlier and had shot at him from, completely ignored the option of shooting the bush that the tank was obviously still in! I recently watched someone (don't want to shame them though) who on two different occasions even, watched as a stationary heavy tank went unspotted (as someone else was spotting them) and proceeded to not shoot them, and even complain at the team to spot them (even though he was evidently NOT moving when spotted the second time).

It feels like such a simple thing to me, yet is quite rare among randoms. I guess it's a good thing though, since that means randoms on the enemy team are usually just as bad and it is genuinely a surprise when someone actually blindfires at me. :teethhappy:

Yep. And on occasion it really pays off. I had a game on Prok where I fired 3 rounds into one of the obvious locations for an enemy TD, and once the game was over it turned out I had done 700-ish dmg to the enemy teams Obj704. I never saw him all game.
Same goes for the very obvious spots on each hill on Ghost Town map. One is quite stupid of not firing at least a few scattered rounds into the bushes if having a chance.
