I fully upgraded it and its decent tank. Still working on elite.
For me it works well if i use it as sniper. It has good cannon while armour isnt that good. Just stay behind and hit them from far.

lol this thing is terrible, it's slow, it's a huge target - a profile that's very easy to hit and its gun sucks, the trifecta of bad tanking

good thing the grind is relatively quick, the T-46 runs circles around it and the pz4 three-shots it from like 1000m

and god help you if you're climbing a hill, where's the removed speed governor when you need it

also, I have never thought "oh s*** there's an M3 Lee!" before playing the D2

PzIV has an accurate gun and is a tier 5. The D2 is a tier 3, so don't expect to much of a pzIV vs a D2 lol.
The D2 is a bit to slow in my eyes. Especially for a medium.

I just hope the last gun gives it a bit more oomph. Although, with 66mm of pen, I'm not counting on it.

On the other hand, in a tier 3 battle this thing rofl-stomps anything. I witnessed one of these things kill Pz38 and M2 medium without losing HP (Pz and M2 were 100% at the beginning), in direct fight, taking shots from side and dinging them all.

D2 is strange, looks horrible and is very slow but still fun. Good thing the next tank needs 3k XP to be unlocked.

It's grown on me after i got the top gun, real slow (as all low tier french tanks seem to be) but decent armor and gun is actually ok, it's accurate and it will penetrate pretty much all tier III/IVs (not all IVs from the front ofc, but it's not ridiculous like when other french tanks try to kill each other).

In fact the D2 is pretty fast... for a french tank. Armor is overrated due to the fact this tank is new and lowtier anks players ar a mix of newcomers who don't know how to play and experienced players who don't care to make shit.

Maybe this tank is classified as med, but it's slow as heavy, and armored as light (the AMX 38 has more frontal armor, same as the D2 at the sides and rear) so i think it is a candidate with the T-28 as one of the worst tanks (The leopard suffers from a bad case of the matchmaking system).
but i have to admit its last gun is pretty good for its tier (too shame it's also the top gun for the B1 XD)

This tank must be made of butter reinforced baguette. Srsly, I wouldn't even deliver croissants, because I am sure it would not survive a crash with a Kubelwagen. You could store bottles of bordeaux in it, because it is so damn slow they wouldn't be shaked and until you reach anybody they are aged as hell.

The gun is ok to shoot some frogs for dinner, but that's all.

I am not 100% convinced about that tank...

I would rather fellate a rabid water buffalo with dubious personal hygiene than ever drive this 'tank' again.

I have 13 tanks in my garage from a MS-1 to an IS-3 and most teirs in between and the D2 suck so bad it actually blows....  It is fully spammed up and just needs research on B1

What frightens me more is knowing the B1 has the same gun.  I had some free XP saved up for this tree so I jumped the FT-17 and D1 (only one game each) and straight to the D2.

I shall keep the French tree going for a laugh but this tank is appaling.  Too slow (23kph), too thin armour (40mm), too high profile (2.66m), poor gun (66mm pen).  I'm sure it's fairly historically acurate so no complaints at the devs on that score.

Without wishing to cause offence, no wonder the French had a hard time during the Battle of France.

This part gave me a good laugh :
And just to keep your moral low, still works in a B1  :o

omg, must quote this one, man you're skilled at narrating :D

Actually, D2 is not that terrible from my experience, or maybe in comparison to other french low tiers.

Without wishing to cause offence, no wonder the French had a hard time during the Battle of France.

No offense taken here but historically, in 39-40, best tanks the french had were Somua S35 (played as a captured german tank in the game) and the B1B. Both tanks were superior to anything that could be thrown at them (if you ignore lack of radio, commander doing multiple job, used not in tank companies but as infantry support etc.)
For instance Pz2,Pz3 (before they get better gun much later (47mm if memory serves) and even Pz IV (only the model with that short 75mm existed at that time) were vastly outmatched.
About B1, German destroyed most of them using the towed 88mm flak and stuka bombing.
And well, once France occupied, building new tanks was not the N°1 priority...
To illustrate that, just read the description of your in game Billotte medal or check wiki : http://en.wikipedia....Pierre_Billotte

This tank is rather weird. For its tier, the armor is nice and the gun is ok in terms of damage, but the speed is just plain bad. It's rarely the top dog, and being in a tier 5 match makes me say "this tin can is a death trap". The best gun for the tank isn't too accurate, to get through some tanks you would need to hit weakspots but the accuracy makes it quite hard to accomplish (if the range is 50m+).

I got it all elited but the gun is absolutely horrible. Sure my crew is not 100% yet but the aim circle is huge and when I do hit something even tier I there is the familiar pling.  <_<

I am too much of an cheap skate to waste Free XP so I will endure a few more games before I move on.  :Smile-izmena:
