This tank works like maus in tier 4 battles! Angled it can bounce most guns and can push the attack fine to the enemy base! A keeper tank for me

Good for you! I hate it, like I hate every French tank so far. The armor is good enough for this tank and the speed is acceptable, but I can't hit a damn thing with those guns(I killed a bunch tanks, but still it's terrible). Poor accuracy, small damage and low penetration. The premium gift Tetrarch tank is tier 2 and has almost the same gun as the B1. So far these new tanks are painful to play.

Tssshhhhh, dont tell anyone   I saw a bad dream when 8-11 of 15 machines were b1 in battles ( The dream was named "Test server phase 1-2" )

Really? I have killed Pz4 and Pz3/4 with B1 (side shots). The only tanks I meet which can't be hurt are KV and T1 heavy. But I don't meet them often for now

Omg french tanks are awful. Can't hit most tier 4 and tier 5(kv) and even some tier 3's with the b1.
B1 can practically not even hit a b1.same with d1 & d2, they can't hit themselves in combat?
I don't care about historical accuraty, but it's just painful to play with them.
I will now say goodbey to the franch tanks after one day of horid misery.

People who skip this tank to go to the tier 5 are crazy. This tank gets awesome matchmaking and I discovered it can even penetrate T1 heavy at the side armor. So only tank it cannot harm is the KV (of course!).

It is a badass tank!

Are we talking about the same B1?
The worst tank ever in WOT history so far. It even beats M3Lee and T34 with stock gun.
Even fully upgraded it still sucks!
When you are the top tank it's tolerable but hey, every tank is great then or when you shot enemy sides when he's busy with other tank...

Actually, I think B1 is hands down THE WORST tier 4 tank and a strong contender for the "worst tank evah" category. Medium tank one tier below it can dominate it in a one vs one frontal shootout ffs.

PS - and good luck pulling off the "tier IV Maus" routine if the enemy has any kind of TD above tier III or a T-28. Pretty much anything above tier III

Well, that may be because historically, the B1's main gun was the 75mm hull mounted gun, not the turret-mounted gun. So the B1 was to be used quite like the M3Lee : turn the entire tank to face the target and shoot. It's a pity that we cannot use the 75mm gun of the B1 in WoT.

Well, B1 ain't bad, the only thing that really sucks is that the best gun is the same that you had on the previous tank. And even the D2 struggled with tanks on it's tier.

Yeah, it's pity that we can't use a gun that would made it a frigging monster. And it should have option to 105mm howitzcer so it is gonna be a real monster.


And I don't care about it's armament because it never end up higher than Tier 5 so it's nothing

Well, have you ever played the M3Lee ? Because it's the same tier as the B1 and it has a 75mm hull-mounted gun... See what I mean ? If not, go buy a M3Lee and try it instead of trolling.

I just started on B1 tank and I must say, it's horrible...
Right now I'm struggling with 100xp rewards to get turret so I can mount that tier 3 gun of awesome, which doesnt penetrate anything either.
I find M3 Lee far more superior than this 'thing'.

i thought the M3 Lee was a horrible grind. Zomg!! Im only getting teams with no brains at all. So my average rewards seem to be under 100 xp.
And im getting only matches agains t1, kv`s or even hetzer`s wich seems impossible to hit with this tank. even an amx 40 is impossible to shoot from the front

Heh. For me being top tier in M3 Lee was I destroy half enemy team and most of the time we insta win  

Anyway, got the gun and things got a little brighter...

in fact the 75mm wasn't used against other tanks, only for support, because it couldn't be moved on horizontal. The AT gun was the 47mm on turret... was a good gun but in the game it seems we just throw tennis balls! even against some tiers II...

the gun is terrible, it can't really hurt other B1s either

B1 is a meatshield, problem is you don't get points for taking damage

take advantage of low tier battles to boost your xp, since in tier 5 battles you get killed by everything  

just grind as fast as you can and skip the top radio

I don't know about the light > medium line, but in the heavy line there are no good tanks until tier 5, because their guns utterly suck

Due to the current glut of French tanks I'm finding the B1 to be hilariously powerful. In several games now I've found myself facing nothing but D2s, AMX 38s and other lower tier tanks. The B1s gun may be utterly useless, but since none of these tanks can even scratch you it becomes a valid tactic to just drive straight to the enemy's base and sit there.    

Unfortunately, I suspect this will cease to be the case as soon as this wave of francophilia dies down and the B1 finds itself facing a more balanced opposition.

face a Murder II and you will see that french armor is more or less same as paper. Even PzIII with 50L60 will bitch you so bad... Nah french armors are über against french guns. that's all.

I like it a little bit too. The armor is crazy and the gun is acceptable. Without engine upgrade it's sloooooooooow. I will likely keep this one. I like the matches it gets as top dog.
