I totally understand the mechanics in game and the whole process of being chat banned, most of us are guilty, especially me....:hiding:

But why does the chat ban cover and include not being able to communicate with clan members in the garage?

Surely if you were to be offensive or rude you would be kicked out of the clan, and rightly so.

I'm not talking about in the game, or in the general chat just your clan members in the "Clan Chat"

What's your thoughts, good or bad idea?

They try to motivate you to be a nice person in chat by making your life harder...

It's a punishment, and one may presume that is why all avenues of chat are included, so you will experience the discomfort of loss, learn the error of your ways, and reform! :teethhappy:

Get your clanmates to have a Discord server or TeamSpeak server or whatever the next best VoIP BS is. Chatting with clanmates in game is so 2015.

Chat ban have increased I feel, after the removal of Global Chat. Before you could at least tell the enemy team to go F themselves and they giggle a bit, or tell them to end your miserable monkeys team quickly and be done with it. But I feel like now, when we can only rage at our own potatoes, it's mega infuriating. Specially when dealing with thickheaded individuals who refuse to ever improve in this game.

Yeah it makes no sense...talking to your friends and in clan chat should remain available.

Like, what's stopping you from using Discord or other ways to talk with your clanmates if you really want to? You'll be able to talk to them anyways. What difference does it make in the end? None.

Like I said in a previous similar thread, if you are caught robbing a bank they don't just ban you from entering banks.

It's called punishment, it's not supposed to be convenient.

You didn't rob a bank.

You shouted at a police officer. You got either a fine or are sent on house arrest. You can still talk to your family.

Think teamkilling someone is like killing a person...you get banned i.e. locked in prison. You can't play or talk with anyone. That makes sense.

That's not the same. It just isn't, no matter what you say.

Doesn't matter, the purpose is to punish and OP feels punished. Job done.

Now if OP bothers to learn a lesson from this not only will he be able to enjoy chatting with his clan in future but chat will be less one toxic potato in future. Everyone wins. :)

that really..

follow the rules, you get to talk. break them, and you can rage at a mirror instead. its how it should be, and how it should stay.

no it shouldn't.

if your given a driving ban, guess what? going to the shops in your car is considered illegal, regardless of whether its on backroads or not

I just love how people keep comparing chatbans to things which have absolutely no connection to how it's applied...

*slow clap*

Text communication with clan members should be available at all times.

Just another example of Wargaming's shoddy approach to customer care.

No.....Not all avenues are included at all, you can still "Team Speak" within the game such as Skirmishes to your clan members.

That is not in the same context as your comment applies and a redundant comment to be honest.

The punishment is for violating in game rules, maybe adding "Robbing Banks" to the drop down list of complaints in game should be added.

See, this is what I'm having to deal with... My goodness!

We're talking about the ability to talk in clan chat, and your friends! Not "still allowing you to be toxic in chat"!

Are you aware of what's being discussed here? Seriously, are you?

We'd still be chatbanned from everywhere else (game chat, general chat, private messages).

my question is: are you? do you even know what your saying, like, at all?

if your not banned in clan chat, but are everywhere else, then how is it a deterrent to toxic behaviour? if you can freely talk there, then can't you see that people wont take chat bans as seriously?

At the end of the day its respect the rules, and you'll get the option to chat. if you don't, then you cant. I honestly cant see why you think your entitled to something, when you broke the rules of the game. you don't deserve anything at all.
